Switch Lip?

So recently, my friends and I have perfected the art of switch onto rails. The only debate is which side is "switch lip". There are two options below, please reply with a number, 1 or 2 thanks!

1. Is "switch lip" having your back tails cross over the rail first? Therefore, you do not have to lift up the front of your skis to mount.

2. Is "switch lip" having you pop the front of your ski up and onto the rail in order to land on it safely.

if you ride left foot forward on rails, you would come in switch on the left side and pop spinning left bringing your tips over the rail to slide

2. its all about getting whatever part of your skis to leave the ramp first up and over the rail.

heres my question. can there be "lip" for anything greater than a 90 on? is it the same concept?
