Switch cork 540

I got switch 5s over Christmas break and after dreaming of the switch cork 5 all summer I finally am thinking of trying it, they seem pretty reasonable since I see one in pretty much every edit I watch and it seems like you can spot your landing for the majority of it

How hard are they for someone who's never gone off-axis before?

basically the hardest trick in the book, you do it and the next thing you know you will be in a frat gettin iced by bros and livin the life.

Was not hard at all for me to learn but very hard to get back once they turned into switch rodeos.

You're just jelly cuz you can barely grab blunt trolololol. Learn sw cork 5s with me Derek. We can be steezy together.

we seem to be in the same boat, iv been wanted to do this trick all season so far just feeling like it would be so fun and easy, once i started trying switch tricks idk how easy it will be but man do it wanna try this trick, just need a good jump

That's more like switch rodeo. I'll have to think of a good way to describe it, but switch corks are so easy and fun.

yeah, it just feels like it would be way easier to cork something switch, its weird. like the jump kinda kicks you into it?

they feel so nice! one of my favorite tricks to do. My advice is to almost wash out a bit on the take off (butter a bit) when learning them. Like other people said, sometimes they'll turn into a rodeo. Try and get your feet towards the landing right after taking off (watch tom wallisch "how to do a cork 3" because it's so similiar to what he says in it)

Cork 5s arnt as hard as people say, you can sorta ease into it till your throwing fully corked

it seems like you can sort of ease your way into being more and more corked as you become more confident with the trick, any truth to this thought??

I havn't done one, although I know switch rodeos I feel that if you were to try a normal switch 5 and then go for the japan grab at once you would dip your shoulder and end up in a switch cork 5. Can't wait until my mountain opens a decent jump so I can try it!

do it!! once you get it it'll be your favorite trick. Also personally I like to find a jump that isn't very lippy, just a nice smooth take off that sends you further distance wise than it does height. The best part about sw cork 5's is that you can ease your way into how corked you want them to be. Once you get a sw cork 5, you'll get a sw cork 7 in the same day (sw 7 is actually a more natural trick)

so sick

I learned switch cork 5's like 15 mins after switch fives. they are so much easier. I had shitty sketchy switch pencil 5's and my coach told me to try corking it and I stomped my first one. super easy to spot it kind of feels like you are coming out of a backflip. It was also my first off-axis trick.
