I can somp the shit out of regular switch 540's but i cant get up the courage to step it up to the switch cork 540....any tips??

thanks

i assume you're going left, when you're coming in, just feel that switch steeze, come off the lip with you right shoulder dipping and your left opening up and just lean into the lip sorta as you come off, you know what i mean?? i feel like a sw cork 5 is even more of a natural rotation than sw 5, you're just going with the momentum of the lip and what not, just don't get scurred when you're coming off the lip, it'll come right around

i know man it seems like it would be sooo natural...ive never really had the mind set coming into the jump that i was going to go for it...but ill probably try it this weekend...thanks bro

i tore my acl when i landed my first sw cork 5 i just wasn't committed enught so i landed waay backseat...

so focus and commit or your season maybe over.

beware of that its sooo easy to go cork on switch 5. so really focus on NOT getting cork those first times or u land waaay backseat and your legs will die or something. i just focus on having my weight centered on my skis when not going cork.

i cinda didnt answer the que so here it is. when going cork i "the first times" just thought of doing a nose grab with my right hand og left ski so on the jump i cinda almost do a nosegrab with right hand on left ski. when i do this i get 90 degrees or more reel fast :P

this isn't first hand experience. but from what people i ski with have told me.

go up to the jump like you would a switch 5, carve the lip a little and start your rotation. dip your right shoulder if you spin left, or vice versa and go for an opposite nose grab. like right hand to left ski. that should set you corked. and don't worry TOO much about the inverted part as much as getting around the spin. don't panic and let it come around. have you done cork 5's before? cause that would probably be easier...
