Switch cliff takeoffs?

I haven't yet seen idea...but I'm sure that people have done this before. Does anyone have tips on this, and if you do, could you explain how to do switch spins off of cliffs?

well its kind of cheating but if you pack down a little snow into a small lip its much easier... but i'm not sure thats what your asking?

its all about not moving your legs on take off. start off by doing zero's of 10 footers then youll get the feel of your pop off a downward slope. its like doing a shifty but your still on the snow.

Yeah, I've def fucked up and spun too early before. Whats worked for me is initiating the spin with my upper body more so than normal, and keeping your skis straight until they clear the lip completely, kinda like a shifty takeoff, if that makes sense.

My area only has a few cliffs that I would ever do switch on/off. Alpental has better terrain for this (so much more open takeoffs and landings), where are you doing this stuff at Crystal? Niagras?

mt. washington and crystal most likely, I may visit alpental this winter too.

Thanks though, I'll be sure to try that. The features would be a lot of cornices all over southback @ crystal, and niagras for sure in north, but I want to go explore some more.

pop, and then set once you're off the cliff. Even if you don't pop, just don't set your spin before you're off the cliff.

I have no idea what the area is referred to as I dont ski there, but this spring there was some cool shit around and off to the left of the International Chair. Most of it looked hike-possible, and I know for sure there was some cool shit off in the BC off the traverse.
