for christmas I have a choice, Park City or the Swiss Alps, but I was wondering are skiers in the alps as aware of the newschool scene. Will there be parks there or not and if there are how good will they be?

dude go for the swiss. parks are pretty much lacking but you have an endless expanse of above treeline riding at your disposal. you'll ski some of the gnarliest stuff ever!

Any garbage can hill can have a park. It's the Swiss Alps man! That's some big mountain skiing you can't pass up. And if your going there to ride park you got problems. Besides, Switzerland's awesome.

I never said Park city was garbage. I just said that any hill can have a park. Case in point: The East Coast.

Go to the swiss alps. I go there most years to laax switzerland. Killer park with tonnes of great skiers even though its quite small. Its a pretty big area as well so there is lots to ski. Saas-fee is good as well. Ok park but good backcountry. switzerland is the sickest place ever. Go there or you will regret it forever.

I'm from Denmark and I have skied a lot in the Alps. The last 2 years all season in France.
I think most people over here would love to go to Park City. I would definately choose Park City.
In Europe you'll find lots of good powder and freeride spots. But you'll never find parks that are even close to the quality you have in US and Canada.
I recently skied with Candide in Les2Alpes, France and he said is isn't even worth to be looking for a European resort with a really good park, cause you'll find nothing that compares to US parks.
