Sweaters and staying warm

I know there are a lot of skiers like me know love wearing sweaters and don't like jackets too much. even on those super cold days, one will still wear sweaters over a jacket.

my question is what are some 'trick' you can call em to stay warm on those cold days but without having to wear like 20 layers.

One thing i do is where a long sleeve wind breaker underneath my top sweater to block the wind which helps a ton.
