OH man, there was this crazy little bit on Channel 1 News at my school, and they talked about how people are trying to cut down on cursewords, and my mind just drifted off the hating threads, and all the swearing.
In first grade the only black kid in the school told me i had just "cussed" after i said shut up to my friend. We went back and forth for like ten minutes at recess with him saying "I SAID YOU CUSSED!" and me saying "WHAT?". I had never heard the word before and he made no effort to explain himself so i had no idea what the fuck he was talking about. As we were arguing my principal walked past and at that exact moment i decided to tell caleb that he talked funny. The principal grabbed me by the collar and carried me into the office. There was a big parent teacher conference. They were convinced my parents were raising me to be racist. It got blown way out of proportion and the racist label followed me up until the beginning of next school year when they hired a new second grade teacher. She was African american. The first day of school someone told her what i had done to Caleb last year and she took it personally. I just happened to walk past her when she was talking shit on me to another teacher saying that she couldnt teach a kid with a racist mind. having heard the phrase before i knew she was talking about me and started to cry. This time it got blown out of proportion to my advantage and they pulled me from her class and put me in the second grade class upstairs which had airconditioning and fucking sweet storytime bean bags.
