Suspenders Advice?

Curious to hear what your thoughts are on suspenders. Do you even use them? Are they worth it?

I recently saw an article in the news about arcade belts coming out with new suspenders, and they look sick! Has anyone tried them? Are suspenders really worth 30$? Should I just use a shoelace? I'm all about comfort so I need some insight on what's good before I make a purchase. Thanks
 
I really like mine. I can have a loose waist and my pants still stay up! the only bother I've found is the straps rubbing my neck after awhile and sometimes the attachment clips would dig into my back/hips when I had my skis on my pack hiking.
 
I bought a pair of regular ski pant suspenders from my local shop and tied shoelaces to four points on the belt loops. Then I clipped my suspenders to the four points on the shoe laces and, presto! Long suspenders.
 
I have saga ones. There ok but no need to use them unless if the waist doesn't fit or if you want to sag.
 
Not to toot our own horn here but we agree with HP on thinking lots of suspenders kind of sucked and perhaps weren't worth it. Which is why we tried to redesign the typical suspender and released our first suspender as a two buckle, holster style suspender. Easier to clip on and off, more out of the way and easily adjustable to limit shoulder slip. They just feel better than a four buckle suspender. View attachment 663520 View attachment 663521

Probably your best bet on suspenders since everything else slips and just all around sucks. Or get bibs, that would solve all your problems.
 
I am all about bibs. Since you don't have em I would invest in arcade suspenders. I love their belts, and I'd imagine the suspenders would be a lot more comfortable than shoelaces.

personally i bought them cuz they were kinda in style at the time but i really hated them becasue when you wore them i found they just pulled your pants up toooo high then they got fucking anoying especially moving around alot doing tricks, then even if you let them hang at your legs they just got in my way and distracted me! to me not worth it better off even using a regular belt then a shoe lace thats what i do now
 
I've got armada stage suspenders...doesn't join the two sides anywhere like the arcade ones above...so when riding sometimes falls off and falls down your arm inside the jacket...annoying as fuck if you ask me
 
I use a hockey lace and it does the same job for free, it's not perfect but it works well enough and you don't need to deal with clips and stuff.

I rocked some most of summer and you forget about your pants staying up..I've used it all and nothing has worked as good as these..

Say what you will about fd wear but their bibs are the comfiest pants ever. Like someone said above, it feels like you arent even wearing anything. And if i buy a different pair of pants in the future, ill definitely be getting suspenders. No more of that saggy pants constant readjustment
 
Suspenders are the best if you wear loose pants, the whole point is for them to hang off you and for baggy ski pants its comfortable as fuck. If youre a slim pant/fitted pant kind of guy, suspenders wont really help you out at all.
 
I just use walmart suspenders and to extend them I break off the clips and just tie shoe laces in to my desired length. I don't see a purpose in spending $30 on something No one is gonna see. Unless you wanna be a bad ass and ride shirtless with the straps over your nips!
 
I have these. I just REALLLLY like the camo on them so I bought them at sports page. I'll report back after I try them.

i've just been using these long pieces of ribbon like the kind you'd find on a nicely wrapped gift. They fatter than shoelaces so they work way better. Also have the armada suspenders which are also real nice
 
Don't know why they wouldn't help at all? I wear OG saga slims with suspenders and they definitely help. although I've been interested in grabbing those arcade suspenders as they seem to solve the straps falling off shoulders problem.
 
belts alright but if/when it falls below the ass your fucked. pulling everything back up leaves you with high-waisted long underwear
 
i kinda want to try the arcade ones this year. ive used armada in the past but have had problems with braking the back buckles when i fall. so only clips in the front might be the solution for me
