Suspended for wearing shirt with American Flag!!!

So I just read a story on the news site here in Colorado that some kids at this middle school got suspended for wearing a shirt with an american flag on it. Another kid got suspended for wearing a USMC shirt. This is such bullshit. Why do schools think they can do anything. The state finally stepped in and told the principal that she was wrong and that the kids can wear those shirts. What a fucking NAZI this bitch is.

What do you guys think about this shit?
 
It was flags in general because of all the immigration problems right now. But regardless, its fucking america we can were a flag shirt if we want.
 
fuck if you can wear a shirt that says not my president on it with a picture of bush you should be able to wear a flag on your shirt, hell i've even seen anarchy signs be allowed, and alot worse shit be allowed in schools.
 
if the shirts were truly as harmless as described, what a bunch of BS, but I am for schools monitoring drugs, sex, ect shirts.

Even if it's a public school, the principle and staff have the right to have a standard at which clothes are allowed to wear. When you enter school, some of your freedoms are forfieted or restricted (such as freedom of expression). But I will agree with you that wearing a shirt with a flag on it is utter bullshit and I'm happy that principle got told.
 
People should be able to wear what they want, except Goths, Goths should be killed.Oh and emo's (tight pant males)and fat girls with tight clothes.
 
symbols only have meaning if you give them meaning, schools are just giving those symbols more meaning, otherwise they are just designs
 
hahahahahaha i just got done reading in another thread about how you were agreeing with a kid calling another homosexual because of the clothes he wears...... funny shit man.
 
You have to understand, alot of school's now (like my old one) were on a power trip. They like to have that "authority" over the kids. The ability to "police" the school, rather than just be your friendly PrinciPAL. They always told us that, PrinciPAL. Not your pal at all. They liked to search me alot. They never found shit and I would always smile and laugh ion their office. They hate to see you laughing and smiling. This I know.
 
like stated by KMK 10 years ago... so many laws, so many rules, soon were all gonna crack.

its getting redunk, you probably break the law like 20 times a day and dont even know it there are so amny stupid and useless laws around.

I can remember when i was like 8-14 i would ride my bike to kroger and other places within a mile radius and leave my bike right outside. be in kroger or whatever for a good hour. not even have to think about my bike being gone when i came out.

now i wouldnt leave my bike unattended without the S.W.A.T. team guarding it.

haha one time back in high school my firned had a shirt on from the crab shak ( a popular seafood restaurant) and it said something like i shuck seafood or soemthing, but even less close to something bad, like it was totally exceptable. And my firned and I are just fucking around and our principle comes up and he's a really douch bag so i said to him my firned is wearing a dirty shirt. and then he believs em with whatever idiot brain he has and makes my friend take off his shirt from the crab shak, that advertises eating crabs, absolutly nothing wrong with it. Just shows how stupid the princicple was.
 
Um yeah, there is this amendment, and yeah, it kind of says you can say whatever the fuck you want. That principal needs to fired.
 
As someone already said, when you enter a school you forfeit some of your rights. The rule wasnt made to stop kids from being patriotic, it was made to protect kids who were on the verge of a riot. You need to understand that the issue was that a bunch of hicks got together, dressed up in camo, and were threating "illegal" immigrants. And also the 'imigrant' students were in no way illigal. How do I know that? Well they were in a public school, and illigal imigrants dont go to public school.
 
yeah it was on the news last night, the whole issue of patriotism being displayed in schools. I dunno man, it doesn't make sense how or why you would want to do that. Being patriotic isn't offensive and shouldn't be considered a violation of any rule, definitley a bullshit policy. i can understand the whole no wearing clothes with alcohol or drug references, but flags? come on now, thats just ridiculous
 
i got suspended for a backpatch on my jacket of people burning the flag, but it's not the actual american flag it's an american flag with swatstikas instead of stars.
