Suspects vs. 09 walls

im trying to buy a new pair of skis but cant decide.

im between the suspects and the walls

75% park 25% all mountain

60% rails and boxes 40% jumps
 
60% rails and boxes = centre mount. 25% all mountain + centre mount = get a symmetrical ski. Of the two, get the Walls.
 
well, if you're going to be doing a lot of rails the suspects have the edges armor which reinforces your edges. So that would be a plus, and they are also one of the best rated park skis this year. And are you people sure that they are stiffer than the walls? I thought the walls would be stiffer.
 
I tried my suspects for the first time last weekend and I like them. The only thing that I have to say about these skis is that they chip very very easily.I use them only two days and they are very chiped. If you want to buy these skis for more than one year you should not go with the suspects. Beside that, they are very good skis.
 
My dont really chip easily at all... but man i love my suspects, theyre sooo nice, i used to love my foils but now i got these and theyre like a million times better, but yes definitely go for centre mount and go with a little shorter ski if your doing more rails.
 
Mine are 171 also but i am shorter than you by two inches so you probably have a little more control.but yeah i love them on rails, you just feel so in control
 
I rode my suspects for the first time this weekend. I did not have any problems with chipping and I rode them pretty hard. They are pretty stiff, stiffer than any other park ski I have flexed including walls and ar6. They are super poppy, I cant wait till I get to use them on some big jumps. They seem a little heavy compared to other park skis but they also seem pretty durable. Despite popular opinion I thought they carve very well forward and switch. Overall they are awesome and even though im not quite used to them yet I love them already. im 6' 180 and I got the 181s. I also mounted them 1cm back from center. Hope that helps.
 
personally i have thd Dumonts... but their the same ski.... i just got more edge armor..... i love the ski....

id definatly recomend the suspect...... amazing ski for all mtn, jumps, and rails........ for me the walls just dont do it... i hate symetrical skis...

I was debating between the same two skis this year. I got the Walls though. So far, I'm loving them. They're holding up really well. No chips or gouges in the top sheets. They ski really well just cruising all mountain. And they feel great switch.
 
Just mount a pair of marker griffons on them and they'll be light and bombproof. I have griffons on my suspect and they're just as light as everyone elses skis but still way more durable
 
just checked out the suspects in the shop today.. they are pretty stiff (at least hand flex test seemed like they were) and also fairly heavier. Way heavier than the same length TNK / Reno Jib and heavier than the Walls.. They also seem to run short. The 171 suspects were shorter than my 171 Reno Jibs.. I would still say get the walls..
