When I first found out about newschoolers.com from the poorboyz site I was stoked because I thought I had finally found a community of people who actually knew something about skiing and shared some common interests. I also assumed that most people would be pretty chilling and respect each other, but what I've found for the most part is the surliest bunch of people I've ever seen. I realize that it is mainly a few people giving everyone shit but I am basically wondering what the hell the deal is. Is it because we're anxious for the season to start and have nothing better to do? I have noticed especially that questions to which the answers seem obvious to many of us are most likely to get bullshit answers, but why the fuck do you think that person asked the question? They want to know the answer, not get a lot of shit for asking the question. Furthermore, if it bothers you that much wouldn't it be easier to simply exit the forum than to actually take the time to give that person shit? I think we should work on being nicer to people on NS and go to some other site if all you want to do is give people shit. By the way giving people shit doesn't make you superior to that person it makes you look like a dick.

 
I've been saying this for almost half a year now. It didnt used to be like this. I guess thats the price you pay when it became popular. And it probably didnt help that Freeze changed their forums, sending some of those retards this way.

There is a MULTITUDE of solid information laid down on this site and I can't think of any other site on the internet that has done for skiing what newschoolers.com has.

That said, buck up and stop living the sheltered life. People are assholes or just having fun, live with it. look for the good in things and ignore the bad.

ive never said this but i have been agreeing with u since i got here a year or so ago when it was just small, the people are mostly young or even old people who cant control any one and they want to so they do it over the internet tto seem tough, its a stupid thing to even imagine but thats the only thing i can think of for a reason for the retards on here, but your right, beeing big there is no way of avoiding it, no one is perfect and the more people you have the less and less perfect they come

 
I'm not knocking NS, far from it. I think this site is the coolest of any site I have ever seen, I am simply trying to understand the dipshits out there who have nothing better to do than be assholes.

 
The core of this site is so tight, its amazing, but there are those who are retards all the time, they dont care about skiing, or progression, or anything else that we care about. Those are the ones who fuck it up. But if you dont worry about it, then its no big deal. There isnt a better place for skiing on the internet, thats for sure.

I came onto NS about a year ago, and it was the coolest sight i'd seen. i had actually found a skiing website, one in which i could share my love of skiing and hear about it from other people. now, NS is huge, which is good, but it has drawbacks. People who come and just talk crap about others, and names like Pikachu, and Mosley1080, who both have talked shit to me before. then again, Piklachu just says pika. Anyways, Whenever i see a kid who needs help, i don't shoot them down. If he asks how to do a frontflip, he probably HASN'T seen the other forums on it. Just go in, tell him how, and hope he lands. We need to stop talking crap to other people on the site, and those of you who do, shut up, pack your bags, and get off NS.

if they moderate some posts it wouldnt be so bad, why would they leave pikachus posts up here, they wouldnt even ban him, if they actually moderated this site it would be alot cooler but it is harveys site and he can run it how he wants

come to think of it i've noticed it too. I think that once the ski season gets under way a lot of us will be a lot nicer and their will be a lot nore love on this site, until then all we can do is ty to be cool

the problem with moderating people is... they get mad and it encourages them, like looking at a kid throwing a tempertantrum they only yell louder. hopefully people will smarten up a bit and the regional forums will clear up a lot of unnecessary stuff in the ski forum.

some people just come to NS to piss people off. It is a part of the internet. go to any chat room. there will always be legit conversations going on, and a few people just pissen people off. At least here it should relax a bit once people can ski. nine milla said it best I think. there is a lot of quality people on this site. more than anywhere I've ever been before. And I don't think anyone can knock on harvey. he is doing such a good job with this site. peace all

yeah back in the day was sick. clearly every has cracked the shits with your summer. Once the season kicks off well in like a month it will be about comps, trick help, how new skis are riding. Give it time. Its a seasonal sport, hard to talk about the same thing for 6 months, with winter there will be new stuff to talk on. At least your winter has arrived. Mine is over. The horrible wait has begun.......

Wow that was inspiring. jk. No I agree entirely. But I totally think that its the fact that it is tense to wait for the season to get going. At least for me. Yeah when people post about their personal experiences and stuff... don't be like 'who cares' if you don't care, like everyone says GO AWAY, DON'T give em hell and discourage it.

We should monitor HappyWhenHards' posts over his offseason and conduct an experiment to see if he becomes more 'violent' with his mesages. haha. JK
