Surgery Scars. ANOTHER injury thread.

I posted a while ago with a thread on my broken arm....can't find it now, so here's a new one. 5 weeks ago I fucked up a 2sev on...blah...

Anyways, here's what you came for:

I broke through my radius & ulnar shaft, and damaged my nerves. I had to get surgery, three incisions, one in the palm for the nerves, to try and help me regain movement/feeling in the fingers. One incision on the side of my wrist, and one on the bottom of my arm, with a total of 8 screws and 2 titanium plates. Not sure how many stitches.

Here's the scar on the sid eof my wrist:

I don't have any pictures of the palm incision, since it still looks gross.

Still waiting for my damn X-rays, I'll post one X-ray of the break and one of the plates/screws whenever they let me have them. Also still waiting for full feeling in my pointer/middle fingers, a month after surgery...

 
That is a rough scar...but I guess you will be able to make up stories about it now...good way to pick up ladies...

"Yeah, I got this scar saving my younger brother from a burning car," so many possibilities...
 
damn, your arm got fucked up real bad......... i broke my arm this year too, sucks but at least it wasn't your leg
 
Not trying to sound tough or anything....but it didn't hurt as bad as I would have expected. A first I just felt the shittiest numb/vibrating feeling ever, and realized I couldn't move it. hThen feeling came back and it hurt like a bitch picking it up and dragging it inside, and even worse pulling my glove off, but after that, it wasn't all that bad.
 
i fucking pwn3d my leg mountain biking, i had a cut the size of a softball down to the bone and i didn't feel it, the doctor said i'm just totally badass (joke, your body releases some sort of chemical that numbs the cut if it's bad enough, i only felt it when they were stitching me up and when i got 8 shots of lidocane right in the fucking open wound)
 
Yeah its weird hey, I wanted to throw up when i broke mine, not sure if that was because of the pain or from the look of my arm lol

Sick scar btw, you cant even see mine (maybe a better surgeon?)
 
I'm sure your surgeon was better than mine....mine was French Canadian. I had this odd fear that I would wake up from anasthesia to see him and the nurses swinging scalpels while singing Aloutte.

I've got a 7 inch scar on my right hip from my first Femur break.

and then a 4 incher laterally down my knee, and three more random incisions from my second femur break.

Holy shit thats gnarly, my friend did almost the exact same thing playing lacrosse. I also have a nice scar from the incision made for my acl repair.
 
if you really dont like it that much (not saying that you dont, it could be pretty badass)

you could just get a huge tattoo to cover it, because then you'd have two stories! a story for your badass tattoo, and a story for your just as badass scar

i tried to fit in the word badass in this post as much as possbile..

I broke my arm too this season, but I was back skiing after 6 weeks so guess I was pretty lucky compared to you.. get better soon, injuries sucks so much..
