no

TOILETS ARE SO DAMN HOT RIGHT NOW

toi·let ( P ) Pronunciation Key (toilt)

n.

A fixture for defecation and urination, consisting of a bowl fitted with a hinged seat and connected to a waste pipe and a flushing apparatus; a privy.

A room or booth containing such a fixture.

The act or process of dressing or grooming oneself.

Dress; attire; costume.

The cleansing of a body area as part of a surgical or medical procedure.

Archaic. A dressing table.

Toilet is part of history of human hygiene which is a critical chapter in the history of human civilization and which cannot be isolated to be accorded unimportant position in history. Toilet is a critical link between order and disorder and between good and bad environment.

In my own country i.e. India, how can any one ignore the subject of toilet when the society is faced with human excretions of the order of 900 million liters of urine and 135 million kilograms of fecal matter per day with totally inadequate system of its collection and disposal. The society, thus, has a constant threat of health hazards and epidemics. As many as 600 out of 900 million people do open defecation. Sewerage facilities are available to no more than 30 per cent of population in urban areas and only 3 per cent of rural population has access to pour flush latrines.

Seeing this challenge, I think the subject of toilet is as important if not more than other social challenges like literacy, poverty, education and employment. Rather subject of toilet is more important because lack of excremental hygiene is a national health hazard while in other problems the implications are relatively closer to only those who suffer from unemployment, illiteracy and poverty. I thus view a study of the history of toilet an important subject matter.

As long as man did not have an established abode, he did not have a toilet. He excreted wherever he felt like doing so. When he learnt to have a fixed house, he moved toilet to courtyard and then within his home. Once this was done, it became a challenge to deal with smell and the need was felt to have a toilet, which can intake human wastes and dispose these of out of the house instantly and, thus, help maintain cleanliness. Man tried various ways to do so i.e. chamber pots, which were cleaned manually by the servants or slaves, toilets protruding out of the top floor of the house or the castle and disposal of wastes in the river below, or common toilets with holes on the top and flowing river or stream underneath or just enter the river or stream and dispose of the waste of the human body. While the rich used luxurious toilet chairs or close stools the poor defecated on the roads, in the jungle or straight into the river.

where do you surf?

Yeah I surf a lot. CJ is definately a very cool guy from what I've seen/heard. They were up here for gromfest and they were all talking shit on how bad the waves were, which is true though. I've saw him signing shit at ESA shit back in the day when I was like 11.

.

the only surfing i've ever done is inland surfing behind a big boat. It's awesome though, because you have an endless curl and can just carve forever.

cj is a plays and a super nice guy, he complains about all waves the only time he dosent is when the inlet gets above 5 feet, witch isnt to often!

i just traded an old pair of skis for a used board. i tried surfing this summer and it was definately a good time, so i guess i'm hooked now? only thing i am worried about is whether the board is gonna be too small for me. i'm like 6' 160lbs and the board is 6'4 a little under 19 inches wide, it seems like its more for bigger waves, which the jersey shore doesnt usually get

While I dont surf very often, I do windsurf and Kitesurf. Both actually rank higher on my passion for sports list then skiing does. I have been windsurfing for 8 years and kitesurfing for 2. I stick to the lakes and light wind days for kitesurfing. I windsurf typically only on big days now. I windsurf 80% of the time on my local waters of Lake Pepin in MN. However I always make a trip to The Gorge (hook river) in OR for a week and either south padre or Cape hatteras for a week. both are sick, but cape hatteras is more romantic for the wife and i tend to have to bring her.

justo8484, all my boards are about 6'6 and about 19.5 wide, so for the jersy area, that might be a little skinny for small days at first, but as you get used to it and learn how to pick out set waves, it will get better, what kind of board is it?

Surfing is chill, I have done a little, but I can't paddle out to big waves because my shoulders dislocate really easy due to some old injuries. Having said that, I live about twenty minutes away from mavericks and all my friends are really into that scene. It's pretty cool sport.

Not as much as I used to. Moved to Seattle recently and the ocean is 2 hrs away. When I was living in San Francisco I'd go quite often to OB and make trips to Santa Cruz. I do miss my motherland...CA. But I hear PacNW gets good amounts of snow, though I have yet to see it.

i literally just got back about 2 hours ago from cocoa beach in FL....... family vacation deal...

i tried a couple of times while i was there, but it's just not my thing........ but my little cousin is a god damn surfing rockstar after 2 days of surfing........ she got her 1st board while we were there! good old ron jon surf shop, open 24/7.

anyway, it is a really cool sport...... just not one that i'm ever going to have a shot at, living in upstate NY.

i live in ohio, and we have no waves. i started longboarding a few years ago, and thats pretty similar. its cool cause you can just chill, and ride real mellow, or ou can bomb hills at 50+, or do technical slide tricks. it fits all my requirements.

opps, that was free advertising.

surfing is awesome, i hit up the west coast canadian surf every-now- and -then. Longbeach (tofino), Sombrio Beach, Jordan River...

angor, i envy you, i wish that i could have gone there, even though the surf this time of ear realy isnt that great and the water is always freezeing cold this time of year. this time of year in cocoa beach you have to have the perfect board to ride waves because they are so iffy and inconsistent. so next time you go, go in the summer when its nice and warm and there is plenty of swell, thats the key with making it fun, if you are not catching waves and riding them it realy sucks a lot, i feel your pain. who do you all thinks gonna win the wct if you are so inclined as to know anything about it?

Tofino is such a beautiful city, and yes the water is damn cold, you need a good wetsuit, but it is well worth it. Anyone ever surfed in the Puerto Plata (kite-surf central in the world), in the Dominican Republic? despite popular belief there is actually some good surf there, although it is reef break which is always more sketchy

A.I. officaly won the world title, thats 3 in a row, do you think he will beat slates with 4 in a row? whats up with the wct being a buch of bitches lately to?

its a bessel, i was told it was handmade by a guy in cali. i dont really know all that much about it. its got 3 fcs fins on it and the kid put a new traction pad on for me though.

the ct is cool but guys like joel tudor and donavon frankenreiter are more fun, in my opinion, to watch than people like slater, don't get me wrong though, slater is isanely good, i just think watching longboarding and singlefins is cool.

i surf, but im not that good. i live on long island and like a two minute walk from the beach but the waves suck unless its winter... and i'd rather ski in the winter.

has any one seen young guns 2, cuz those kids are sick, especially clay marzo

i surf and i love it. i'm not that good though, i don't live near the ocean so i surf on marthas vineyard in the summer. not the greatest surf, but a good place to learn and hey, there's no one in the line up.

I was gonna start next summer in MN on Lake Superior. What kind of starter board should i get. I know it should be really long because there are only like 3-4 foot waves here :(

you are one giant piece of internet suck -...focus....

I used to when I lived in cali. I also surfed gas chambers down in Puerto Rico when I was down there.
