anyone out there surf? In places like Santa Cruz or Pacifica or Half Moon? If so hit me up and we will go fasho.

yeah I do, OB and rodeo are the closets spots for me, but for consistency and solid waves I surf sc whenever it's solid swell.

i usually surf ob/sf area spots, sometimes sc but not often, and cron (rodeo) occasionally. gah but these onshores lately have been absolutely killing everything, fucking spring. we need a good south!

i go to santa clara so i get over and try to surf santa cruz when i can. but being from idaho, i suck at surfing so far. but im workin on it haha

stinson is always blown it seems like; i've been at sc all week with this south coming through...good waves

Well, the surf isnt all that great, but the ladies are nice...

nevertheless, I've been rippin up 38th and pleasure point.. sick stuff going on in those waters.

Stinson is usually pretty small, but if you are willing to drive up the coase there is some good stuff. I like stinson for the atmosphere-a lot of people to hang with plus it's close to my house.

finally got in the water this weekend at... uhhh.. new years this last weekend. the south was small but it was still good times, got barreled for the first time in a month

Yeah i'm usually at pleasure point, or kronkite, i think im gonna go tomorrow after school, if the wind isn't to bad..

I have never heard of most of the spots you guys are calling out.

I surf Ventura 4 or 5 days a week. Sometimes Malibu if it's macking.

Yeah, we are talking about Norcal surf. thats the prob haha.

Ventura is awesome...

in fact that entire coast from Ventura all the way to SB is awesome...

when i'm back in santa cruz i'll let you know. i was raised in mid town santa cruz and grew up surfing pleasure point. my knee should be good enough for me to start surfing again when i'm back, so i'll let you know.

personally, i'm not a huge fan of stinson, pacifica and those breaks. I don't think the rides are comprable to santa cruz.

god i miss surfing.

dude, i was just looking at those in monterey yesterday. so nice, super ding proof. but what is the little threaded hole for? camera? anyways, I surf from scorpion bay to about ocean beach in sf. was at carmel yesterday.

A portion of the board is hollow, and on the other side of that valve is a gore-tex membrane. It lets air escape as it flexes, but water cannot penetrate. You never need to adjust the valve.

linda mar in pacifica had one of its best days all year on friday from about 330-7pm. glassy and some swells were getting up to about 5-6ft.

So sick, I want one of those. I haven't surfed since last October but I have a two week trip to Costa Rica coming up so I hope that pans out.

fuck yea, im about to go this evening. its so fucking hot today, it should be cool just to get in the water even if it is small and blown to shit. however, i remember last year this time we had the exact same weather, and i went to lindy with my friend just for a session to fuck around on our longboards, and it ended up being glassy and 3-4ft with good shape. i think i stayed in for 4 hours till 9 or so, then got in and out in daly city on the way back..... gooood times

but seriously, i miss fall with its freezing east winds and clean nw swells

finally some swell, anybody going out tomorrow on july 4th? I think i'll be out at pleasure point

Shit. I want to go really bad.

I was up on the north coast last weekend and it was all pretty shitty and unsurfable. all blown out and whitecapped. nothing stable. I was really dissapointed.

I was out at montara on tues; big and stormyish surf which cleaned up around sunset; but super fun. I wasn't expecting to catch anything on my 5'8" squash, but I managed more waves than I expected. Turns out about 5 miles down the coast from me there was a shark attack on that kyaker! It felt sharky too when I was out there. Dark water, over cast skys, stormy surf, but I was stoked either way.

Anybody here kitesurf? I surf but I really want to try kitesurfing sometimes, I watch people at Ocean Beach and in Tahoe do it and it looks sick, though I am sure it's tricky to learn.

I've seen it done at Tahoe a few times this summer already.

Very impressive stuff I must admit.

It still looks mad tricky to get the handle.

yea thats how montara usually is, its so exposed to everything. did you check grey whale cove? it can get fun on all this smallish windswell we've been having. i haven't surfed that area of the coast in so long. i've been having fun on my 8'2" singlefin at lindy lately. almost every time i've been to lindy the winds have either backed off or turned offshore, i must be very lucky

I live near San Fran if anyone wants to hit me up to go surfing I usually go to Pacifica. Lately the surf has been shitty though in Pacifica.

One thing I dont get is why some people hate summer so much. I kinda need the balance between winter and summer. I surf in the summer ski in the winter. My two favorite things to do.

Ventura was spitting barrels all morning. I'm off to bed to hit it again early tomorrow before work.

About fucking time we got some swell.
