There was a lot to do besides surfing. Good location, decent waves. Not too expensive

Some of the beaches there are restricted access that doesn’t let you

surf on the weekend except in crowded surfing zones

I'll fill this out b/c there aren't too many surfers on here. I grew up in HI and CA but then moved to MT, so for the purpose of this, let's just reflect on my life back home.

I've traveled all over for play.

Travel for surf: I've been all over Northern and Southern CA. All over Oahu. Various spots in Mexico (mainly Bahia de Banderas, Viva Vallarta, Sayulita, y las otras playas alla). New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia.

What did you like about your previous surf trips?

Surfing and hanging out in new cultures. Surfing new spots and new waves. Meeting cool new people. Eating badass foreign food.

What did you NOT like about your previous surf trips?

Hostility and localism. I tend to get shit because not only am I a tourist, I'm a young(ish) girl. Localism is understandable- I hate tourists, too. But come on, just because I'm a girl doesnt mean I can't surf. I speak Spanish and I've heard locals talking about me in the

What specific amenities would you want to make your stay extra enjoyable?

A surf trip is much different than a trip with my family or to shop or something. On a trip with my mom, lets say, I'd need a fully stocked bar, a comfy bed, a private bathroom... But on a surf trip, I will and have happily slept in a tent, in a hammock, on a beach, in a shack... whatever. All I need is good food (fresh fish, natch), local beer, and fresh water to shower in and drink. Hot tubs are always fun, but kind of rare.
