Surfing...rodeo 5?

yeah did you see that underflip looking thing on the computer screen when they were talking to that guy?
 
slater did somethin like that like 5 years ago at a wct at pipeline and they called it the rodeo clown.
 
Dude some of the flips on the guys computer in the background are fucking RAW. Huge ass backflips and shit.

Wow, usually when I watch surf comps. on tv I change it because it's boring as fuck. Surfing might actually not be as gay to watch anymore! (Mad respect to all surfers, intense, challanging sport, just doesn't interest me. It's like watching golf for me.)
 
i am not positive on this, but im pretty sure that jack johnson named the rodeo, when he saw people like kelly slater doing them he said they looked like rodeo clowns: hence the trick name, and jack johnsons song- rodeo clowns
 
thats nice,. if ya life aerial surfing go find some vids with taj burrows that guys is pushing the edge all the time.
 
WOW thats so great, I knew they could do flips but not without footstraps... The sickest is that he continues right after the move like he hadn't done anything!
 
ive seen a double back flip in the Vans Competiotion once. but that is soo sick.. but i dont think he was inverted.
 
Crazy move to throw down on a surfboard, no matter what you wanna call it, and those straight up backflips and shit on the computer screen, totally ill, surfing is definately getting more and more pimp as far as tricks and style goes, they've always had that chill vibe, but now it's stepping up big time.

Still, crazy as hell. If you think holding a skateboard to your feet is hard, try a surfboard.
 
hmmm.... this looks like an "ars", or air roll spin, that bodyboarders have been doing for years. pretty cool seeing done on a surfboard. i bodyboard and surf, and airs are damn hard on both, but it gets tricky with a surfboard cause youre not holding onto the board, and surfboards are alot harder then bodyboards, which increases the potential for injury. check out the vid "2006 Rockstar Pipeline Pro - Vid 05" on the page below, vaj lederer does a couple clean ARS's

nope, it was fs rodeo. your feet dont go up and around you on a fs cork. watch a snowboarder do a fs rodeo(jason murphy over pyramid gap in destroyer), they never look like backside rodeos which is what most skiers see.
 
actually, I just watched it a bunch more and you may be right. It definitely looks way more like a rodeo/flatspin than a cork.

Super sick either way.
