Surfing big sur in august

just doing a little summer road tripping and was wondering if the surfing was any good this time of year in big sur, or any where else. Thanks for any input.

i have never surfed in my life. but from what i hear, its the winter months that are the best for surfing on the west coast

October is your best month for surfing. Summer tends to be pretty on the central coast.
