uhh, not yet... but you guys need to post here so that the people at

surface can see how well they'd do releasing a 176 watch life !

for those who have skied surface, you know their skis rip... and those

who havn't skied surface, you've heard the hype, and it's true.

for those of us that are above a 171 and not quite heavy/skilled enough

to rock a 181, it would be a dream come true. show your support

and show the peeps at surface that they'd be supported front and back!
 
pretty soon ninth-word!! will run out of factories to use because the can't seem to get along with anyone, or file a law suit against someone...

9 has to give skis away, where Surface sells them

9 is ran by the biggest trustfund scenester in the industry, where Surface has came up on their own and done it right, actually treating people well

9 will always be just 9

9 has about 10 "promodels" that look exactly the same, all for mediocre riders who will never bring anything new to skiing

9 makes promises to athletes and never actually pay them their salary

Retail stores are dropping 9 everyday

...surface just gets better every year. 9 is only around because someone's daddy keeps pumping money into it

Surfaces are lighter than any other wood core ski I've ever held. It makes people go "wow" when they lift it.
 
light as my Jp vs Julains??? Cause those things work miracles. Light, stable as hell, wood core, what more could you ask for?

wow harsh. i actually disagree with some of that, but i know alot of it is true. i think 9 is actually a pretty friendly company that just has a bad rap, from what ive delt with them. and i think their riders to contribute to skiing. the ghetto/thug style, while im not saying it's where skiing should be going, i do feel that it is an aspect of skiing, and they are pushing it. its a branch, a style, and part of our sport. i mean, im sure their 06 promo video turned alot of people on to french rap music as well too. dont hate, appreciate.
 
ninthward isnt even gangster. mik d is a gangster but there are a lot of punk rockers and shit on the team too and im a fucking rock climber. get your shit straight
 
aside from what other companies are doing or how people percieve them, this thread is to show surface what a good endeavor making a 176 would be. and it's not whether or not i can ride a 181 (i would)... it's showing that there would be a huge market in a 176. no hating!
 
people buy ninthward skis believe it or not, newschoolers isn't the only part of the ski industry, i meet people everywhere who ask me where i got my skis because they are sick and they would like a pair

and ya, the promodels are all for mediocre riders, mickael deschenaux is so mediocre and has such a bad idea of what style is and he rides so sloppy and flails all of the time...

mickael invented the whole "making everything look easy as fuck" steez.

in exact science and 1242 he was doing tail/nose presses and he even did a sw tail danish which was WAY ahead of its time back then when skiers weren't even thinking of doing new grinds.

he was the first to carve off jumps, and carve landings! (carve-cork5blunt-carve at wsi the year of strike three)

not to mention his sw 10 at the us open the year of wski where you couldn't tell if he left the ground or not.

if he rode for surface and had a different fashion sense you would be saying how sick he was for being so ahead of his time.
 
Buy a 181cm Watch Life and center mount it...OR, before I ship them to you I will cut a couple of centimeters off of each end. You won't even notice!!

No, but really, as we grow as a company I am sure that we will offer all skis in more sizes. Unfortunately we weren't blessed with rich parents or large bank accounts so we are taking it one step at a time.

This is kinda true. He used to be among the greatest but this season no way he touches Candide or Tanner. There's just no way.
 
surface is the right steps to insure they willl be around for a long time its only going to get crazier!!!!!

blake has a slight bit of jedi about him and mik d would be to hung over to throw more than a few punches....
 
anyone who says mik d sucks is a gaper who doesnt know much about skiing's past, and someone who loves watching hucked no-grab 1260's
 
Mik Was sick when he skied, he doesn't ski anymore and definatly can't hang with whats going on in skiing right now sure hes smooth, but clearly past his prime. The best rider on ninthward is Willy Schnieder and noone knows who he is, but the "pro model" skis are all the same, and everytime I saw freinds who ride for ninthward this winter they where on old skis ( 05-06 )where as my homie Jordan had his surfaces last june......
