Ok I am just sitting here putting 1 and 2 together,1st off no disrespect to Noah Curry but he is a tank of a man

and

2nd all i hear about surface skis is how bad they are durably

So just think to yourself how many skis in a year, you do the math.
 
I feel like there would be some sort of story that would be crucial to know right about meow.
 
Noah is a beast and hasn't had issues with the durability of the skis themselves. Biggest man on skis HANDS DOWN and has no issues with surfaces.

They work just fine, everyone blows up surfaces skis breaking. They had some bad runs of a pair of skis and a few kids got unlucky and landed backseat and snapped a ski. Even ware barely breaks any skis and when he does its on urban features and any ski will break slamming it on metal and concrete
 
My problem isnt durability its the fact that the double time is an unresponsive 2x4. I love surface, love the vibe, graphic basically everything about them. The double time though was the most boring lackluster ski that I have been on in the park.

I will say that I did have an amazing day on my one lifes on thursday though.
 
maybe because Ware is like 5'7 and probably weighs like 140? and the double times are way more durable than the notimes, now let me tell you about the notimes, I have personally seen scott break at least 3 pairs of them along with another person break 2 pairs. Scott hit a little 3 foot jump at brighton one post season day and broke the tail, that is fucking pathetic, my other friend did like a 360 or something and landed back seat and whatta ya know? broke the tail. Atleast. The shitty quality about surface *no times* (other skis look fairly durable) at least is absolutely fucking pathetic, its fucking sad how easy those fucking noodles break. At least they will give you a free pair if you take the skis to the shop.
 
Cause curry knows how to ski. The skis have gotten more durable. The only time they break is when the cores get wet and rot. Use the right glue when you mount your skis. PS Blueberry im gettin fat, comin in at a hefty 158. All skis break when used...
 
To form a water seal in addition to anchoring your binding screws.

As I stated before, that's not the reason the earlier year surface skis snapped.

Nothing bad to say about the new Surface skis but the old one's broke because they were made shitty.
 
For all the hate the no times get, mine are basically bomb proof and I love them. I've never treated a pair of skis this badly since I got them as a holdover for half a season, but damn, they've been through some shit. I hit urban with them, skied many days, summer sessions, left them outside for the entire summer (literally), and they still only have one edge crack and a few topsheet nicks. My bindings, thats another story.
 
Haha pretty funny thread. I have actually only snapped one pair of Surface skis before and they were some OG green life's that had been previously mounted. I ski my ski's hard, given me being 275lbs, and love my double time's. Ware also ski's hard on his and as far as i know doesn't have many issues with his no times or blanks. thanks for the concern though!
 
While surfaces build quality/duribility has improved the past couple seasons

I doubt you could find a seasoned ski tech that would say

"surface makes a high quality ski"

but hey 2 fat kids with orange e-names probably know way more than your average skitech who sees/works on a lot of skis
 
I would definitely lose, I eat very average amounts of food. But, shotgunning a beer, I would definitely win.
 
oh lawd i dunno if ive ever seen someone shotgun race multi beers. Im a sprinter when it comes to beer chugging, after about 2-3 beers im too full and will most likely vomit.

but on topic. i believe every ski manufacturer has durability issues. although i have never ridden on surfaces, i have a friend who has. hes 5'2, maybe 120 pounds. first pair he got had an edge come out first day, and then he snapped the second pair maybe 5 days into riding them. i guess it just depends on the batch. i rode a pair of jmos for almsot 3 years before they broke. then this last month i snapped a pair and had another pair delam. so im sitting here thinking all skis have durability issues.

but big ups to big dudes actually being able to ski. im 6'4, about 220. but nowhere near the hotdog eating ability of noah or eheath
