Surface upper

I’m looking to cop some wide-ish playful all mtn skis for next season to ski some groomers and powder and cliffs and some park laps throughout the day (I will be skiing in colorado and Utah). I already have a pair of park skis (I mainly ski park) these skis will mainly be for just fucking around the mtn skiing with friends who don’t ski much park. Surface says the flex is a 6/10 but the pros who ride them make them look way softer. Can anyone who owns these tell me if you like them and how the flex feels

You will be skiing a lot of trees at Powderhorn so keep that in mind. Phorn is known for the trees and bumps

Purgatory is the closest real resort and prolly where I’ll be at a lot. I am getting a powder horn, purgatory, and ikon pass.

My friend has a pair of the surface uppers and I was able to ride them for a couple of runs. IMO they are really soft, about as soft as my J skis allplay

Also how far are you from wolf creek cause that place can be hella fun if the conditions are good

Moment wildcat 101 is onsale. Basically every size.

going to be very playful all over the mountain. At 101 under food you’ll be able to use it basically everywhere other than deep deep powder.

depending on your length they also have the 108 onsale in174 i believe.

if you’re strong enough they also have tbr 116 and 118 wildcat onsale too.

far better skis than the surface for the money. Especially onsale.

moment provides free mounting, wax and tunes for the life of the ski free of charge.

I have been skiing on the new 4frnt devs for the past year, and I love their stiffness and how easily they float in powder. Honestly, if you could find a good deal on them I would highly recommend them. They are fun asf to play around the mountain and I take them to the park fairly often they've held up beautifully

Edit: Im pretty biased cause I really enjoy hella rockered skis that are also fairly stiff

The reckoners would be pretty good durability is controversial but decent the 106? Or the 112 are both really good i use a pair of 112 for all mountain and they are playful good flex and work everywhere or just get a pair of jeffs in like 108 or whatever they are now

I had these mounted 1.5cm back for all my outside the park skiing keep in mind i live in WV not out west so we might want something a lil different for deep days but for just ripping out snake runs and trees and chutes and side hits they are super fun. Not really that soft at all but still to nollie and butter and can lay some fire ass turns on them too

I just need them to be soft enough to pop some good Ollie’s and nose butters but stiff enough to drop some cliffs and not die.
