Surface swaps vs switchups?

i used to think switchups were the coolest thing ever, but now i cant stand them compared to a nice smooth surface swap. what does the rest of ns think?

I think it all depends on the feature. I nice down tube i love seeing a good blind surface swap but obviously on any kind of kink rail a normal switch up is almost mandatory.

My snowboard friend has totally convinced me that regular switch ups on anything that does not have a kink is just glorified rollerblading. Therefore I like surface switchups more.

i dig surface swaps on tubes and rails. There is nothing sweeter than seeing a clean blind surface on a tube. however on boxes they just look like you cant jump when you switch up. At 1:35 clatoyns blind surface is fucking orgasmic

I prefer surface swaps on boxes and flatrails. but if it´s kinked I think it looks better with a normal swap. And frontside surface swaps on downboxes are really fun

Bump because my friend is silly. Surface swaps are when your skis never leave the rail, and switch ups are when you jump and swap right?

I love surface but my tails alway catch on the rail because there aren't too many fat rails in Minnesota. I actually got a ski stuck in a rail once by doing one.
