Surface Skis thoughts

I'm looking to get some new skis for next season, leaning more towards a park-oriented and lighter ski that can still rip around the East Coast. I have my eyes set on Surface Skis, specifically the Upper and Give'r, but want to hear from the fellow crew to see any thoughts about the two.
 
Surface team is stacked rn.

Their skis are cheap and last relatively long from what i have heard.

My buddy got a pair last season and has yet to loose any edge
 
Here's my thoughts on them

- The givers are fun as hell and have the perfect underfoot width (wish they were a little softer though)

- All their skis are made like shit

- They skis are pretty cool

- Your skis are gonna fall apart

- But you'll look cool and have fun

This is pretty spot on. They make some super fun cheap skis. But they are also made of paper mache.
 
I see a lot about bad durability, but aside from some fat top sheet damage, my uppers are good after a season of pretty heavy park riding. Like I accidentally smacked my skis together on a landing and the edge of one ski cut into the other down to the sidewall, but some epoxy fixed thay right up. No edge cracks or any other damage, other than the cosmetic top sheet damage. I think they’re fun as hell. I get I sound like an ad but I reallt do love these skis
 
ive got surface snipers at the moment, i can say they hold up very well, very low swing weight, flex is perfect for butters on noses and tails, but also the perfect flex to support you while landing backseat on jumps. Had some big crashes on them, the topsheet rarely cracks due to a protective layer over it. Tip and tail reinforcements help a lot too, other skis without the tip and tail reinforcements would have split by now. Overall my favortie ski, get some.
 
I have 2021 givers. The topsheet started cracking like my second day riding them but other then that they’re fun skis that preform well. Probably won’t last very long but I’d recommend cause of how well they preform

My surfaces have 3 edge cracks underfoot and the seam of the full wrap popped out but for a 6/10 park ski that’s being abused on rails for like 80% of my runs I can say surface is legit, I was going to get Givers next year (2023s look so good) but wet+’s are looking like the move for me. I would 100% recommend surface to a friend as I already have.
 
Givers kind of heavy tbh. Top sheet chipping essentially as we speak, but when I’m skiing them it’s fun. Fairly stable
 
absolutely love surface, they are such a cool lil company. I have homies with Bothe the Upper and the Give'r and they are huge fans
 
Got two pairs of uppers. Skiing in VT. one touring one all mountain. big. big. fan. hold up everywhere I ski. super fun. BUY THEM.

Radical, I'm currently posted up at UVM skiing bush so this is helpful
 
Most fun skis I've ever ridden but durability isn't the greatest from my experience. I've rode 2020 Give'rs for 2 season and they're destroyed but they're super fun skis. Somewhat light, on the softer side but they can hold up anywhere. Tips delamed after a little over a month but fixed with rivets and epoxy. Edges cracked a lot and base and sidewall started separating recently. Got em during the summer sale for cheap so not too upset. I absolutely abused them and they held up ok.

Also have the 21 Snipers and tip cap and edge started delaming after 3 day (no park either). Just got them fixed so skiing them again soon. Again, one of the most versatile and fun skis, but durability could be better. I could have also gotten a bad pair so I would recommend bc of price point and how fun they are.
 
I love mine, they're totally fucked cause they went through a snowblower and lived to tell the tale. not super durable but the most fun I've ever had on a ski. they're cheap and if you get them on presale or spring sale you'll get an even better deal. you wont regret buying them
