Surface Skis Customer Surface

As im sure many of you are aware, surface has been selling last year skis for dirt cheap here on newschoolers. Now i know in the ski industry lots of companies have super legit customer service, but i feel like i had to give surface a shoutout for how they helped me out. I bought some live lifes off of them, and was super stoked today to hear that they finally came in. However when i opened them i was dismayed to see they had sent me the wrong skis.. To newschoolers i went to send em a PM to see whats up. Literally 15 minutes i got a message back from mike saying sorry. He explained that surface only has two full time employees working in the office and that they had sent 200+ skis out that day and that they must have made an honest mistake. Fair enough, mistakes happen i can deal with that, its a bummer but life goes on. HOWEVER, mike straight up said, we will send you a new pair of skis ASAP tomorrow! I am honestly blown away, this goes above and beyond what i expected from them, and i figured i had to make a post to give them some love! Sure i wont have my skis for opening weekend in whistler, but hey who cares, its one weekend. I am fully happy with my decision to support Surface, and they have defiantly gained a customer when i look to purchase my next pair of skis

TL;DR

surface effed up my order, they fixed it, they are sending new skis no questions asked. customer service = A+

Agreed that Mike and co. do a phenomenal job when it comes to hooking it up!

Ya dude! The guys over there know whats it up, now if only Causwell could come out with a new line soon... Speaking of which does anyone know whats up with them?

Mike and Rob definitely hold it down when it comes to customer service. They hooked my crew with a ProForm sponsorship, their so damn nice and they legitimately care about you, and how you like their skis. Not, the usual "most of the kids like them, who cares" attitude that i've dealt with many other companies. If you have a problem and contact them they will go out of their way to help you, so you remain a customer and a supporter. Essentially their customer service is impeccable.

Live these guys, I bought one life's from them a while ago from them used (I thought) from them for $180 bucks...dirt cheap, anyways I opened the box to my skis only to discover they were brand new! Big ups to surface!

Yeah surface really hooks you up good. I ordered 11/12 double times 180 on Tighboards.com and everything was just wonderful until I opened the box. I got the 160's instead, oh noee! so I called them up and they said they would send out the new skis asap. new ski box at my front door, much taller. yayayya! jk, they sent me the 10/11 180 double times. close enough I guess

They debatedly have the best customer service of any ski company. My friend bought Watch Life's on NS and after a day of skiing one of the bindings ripped out from the core, and they gave him a brand new pair of Double Times. They even said it was probably the shops fault for it, but they gave him the skis anyway. Great company.

I like what you did there with the whole surface service thing.

So these guys just sell last years skis through the sell/trade forum? Can anybody hook me up with a link?

just bought skis from them, good to hear if i run into any trouble with them itll be no problem resolving it with the company.

Definitely support this. I've had the best experience dealing with Mike. It's awesome dealing with a company that cares so thoroughly for the end consumer.

Mike is one of the nicest guys in the game. Hooked my outerwear with a free vest! am stoked. but i may get those blanks sooner or later

Mike and Rob are exactly what I would like to see out of skiing: Community, not industry. Surface is going to be a company to watch closely for the next few years, they're taking skiing in ways that are lightyears ahead of the curve and you're going to want to be around to say you were there.

This. I seen this comin. They're an awesome company. I don't ski on skis that are manufactured by an industry. Surface, Line, Lib-Tech. I cannot express in words the respect I have for Surface. I've been watching them the last couple years and I'm impressed to say the least. Keep it up surface!!

bought two pairs from their ns sales and both times got killer deals. they rock and the life series are fun skis

I got next years catalog with my recent order. The line up is staying the same it seems. But you know those guys, it seems as soon as they have an idea they have samples and some of them will be for sale, So what i'm hoping for is some tight pants and a nice streetwear inspired jacket. Mike, Rob, Jason, You hear? :D

Mike and Rob are awesome. I was just up there at their shop in SLC talking to them while they were doing inventory and was talking to Skyler one of their buds and employees from Skullcandy. They are all down to earth awesome guys and hooked me up with some swag and they are always giving the best deals which is why I head there after a day of shred and then some Lonestar Taqueria across the street :D.

Surface, Causwell, Joystick love.

Dang it, thats too bad... Last years line was pretty cool, but I'd be really stoked if they made something similar to the EP line again, I would deffs look into picking something up

This thread is the polar opposite of another recently posted..glad to see that not all the youth is completely jaded.

If he didn't get to keep the other skis there's nothing impressive, if he did that's awesome

Yeah there's been way too many threads beating down small companies for small, honest mistakes. Good to see someone taking to NS on a positive note.

+1 surface.
