Surface ski size

So I’m 5’6 and 140lbs and trying to decide between the givr or the royale. What size ski should I get? I’m thinking a 172 for the Royale and maybe a 174 for the givr but that seems a bit big…

It's 2 cm, don't over think this. If you're considering a 172, a 174 is not going to be a perceivable difference.

That is a perfect size. If you’re over 5’7”ish and an above average skier you should be looking in the upper 170 range 180. Especially how many skis have aggressive early rise. They ski shorter than measured.

I rock the give’rs and am also the same height/weight

i am 5'6 and have 162 royales, get the 172n at leat if not like 180, they have lots of rocker, and are really soft

Are the 162s too short I’m assuming? Also are you able to hit decent size jumps on the Royales?

yeah they too short, i can hit like 25 foot jumps, but on some bigger tricks like 7s or 9s if you dont land straight you can wash out as the tails are rreally soft
