Surface Pro 4 for industrial design?

So I recently broke my laptop and gotta get a new one. I was looking at getting the surface pro 4 because I go to school for product/industrial design and am looking for something that's more hands on and sketch friendly. Do any of you have experience with the surface pro 4? I do some excel and other basic stuff like that, but I would like to be able to run photoshop and illillustrator so that I can render my sketches more easily.

SP4 is great but I'd definitely look into the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1. Same premise except it has a thunderbolt 3 port which can support an external GPU system if you ever want more oomph
