Surface One Life vs. k2 Hellbent

Has anyone had a chance to ride both of these skis? I have ridden 189 Hellbents at a demo and I loved them, but I have heard a lot of talk about the Surface one lifes being stiffer and more fun to ride. I'm looking to buy new powder skis and was wondering which people prefer

I went with the One Lifes at 189. It's my one ski quiver, and I love them so so so so so much, hands down the best ski I've ever owned. Stiff for sure, don't chatter. Float amazingly, they aren't all too fat (112mm in the waist), which is awesome though. You don't need all that girth for skiing pow when you have a rocker like they do. They can haul ass on steeps.

It's a pretty versatile ski, really fun to play around and butter on. One question I always get (besides "are they broken?" or "what did you do?") is "how do they ride with the little surface area touching?". There is about 90cms of running surface. I don't notice it all too much.

It's my one ski quiver.

Wow I am sold! I have been riding Surface watch Lifes so I can attest to Surface durability, I had no idea that the One Life was so versatile! Thanks for your responses!
 
i got the new lifes due to that question of surface area. i havnt tried them yet but god they look sexy teasing me in my room, not even fuckin mounted yet.
 
Much more versatile, I have life live 2's and I use them for everything. I have a friend who has hellbents and he has to slow down when it comes to riding steep hardpack areas where as the ll2's are solid at speed.

I love my one lifes, and this sums up everything exactly how I would say it. Such a fun ski.
 
I had 179 hellbents and hated them unless i was in a deep open pow field...One lifes in a 189 this year and i love em pretty much everywhere even park jumps are kinda fun. I really want to hit rails with them maybe next year.
 
I have some 189 one lifes...brand new I got for a deal I am not going to end up needed and looking to sell. PM me, they are an amazing ski.
