Surface Noise.

Did you get the blue and yellow ones. I am thinking that I might do the same. Does anyone know if there are any differences between the yellow ones with the astronaut and the yellow and blue ones?

There is a huge difference between the astronaut ones/ Skullcandy version from 10/11 and the blue and yellow ones from 11/12

- the 11/12 models are much stiffer. increased the core thickness

- much stronger

- much stiffer

- we added carbon stringers

I would go with the 11/12 model FOR SURE!

Just ordered some green lifes. Hopefully i can convince some people at bachelor to buy them as well. Made from recycled scraps is awesome and the granolas in bend should eat that alive.

What would be the the ideal day for the one times? as in if you had complete control of the weather and conditions what would you be skiing? I don't understand whether they are a park ski, a all mountain ski, or something else?

I skiid 10 inches of freshies here in utah dropping decent size cliffs messing around and they were greatttt. If your looking only to have one ski for everything then get themmmm!

Yes surprisingly short but still considerably alright. Don't be afraid of the size. And yes they hold prettyyy well on hard pack just your first few runs you'll sort of have to get more of a feel for it and get used to it. I loved the 3sr on it. The ski is super playful and super fun

They ski incredibly on hard pack, very quick, but you can still make nice rail road track large radius turns. I would say these are the perfect one ski quiver. They have rocker/camber/rocker, so not only can they be quick with the camber, but the considerable amount of Rocker would provide float(I am yet to use them in some pow). They are light and poppy in the park. And the stiffness helps them perform on any terrain. Go with them, you wont regret it.

i freaking love my New Life's thanks for making such great skis and also are you guys making the surface Sweatshirt and crew neck in any other colors possibly?

Colours are lame. Keep it muted.

Also.... I get so stoked watching ooooollldddd Surface/Joystick edits.... Blake Nyman, Paco Garcia, throwback Wade, Jordan Seldin.... damn they can shred.

Does the warranty on my new llifes extend into 2013? Im lookin to get them warrantied soon because the tip is de lamming real bad. I love them to death. Since I'm local I might just run down to Causwell to see what they can do.

I finally got to ski my New Life's this weekend and I have nothing but good things to say. They are so stable in all conditions I could find. I can't wait to get on them more, hopefully with some better snow. Thanks for sound what you do Surface!

I just got my Double Times in the mail, my question is where are most people mounting them? They will mainly be used for park and all mountain with a 50/50 split. I'm thinking -1 from true center. Hopefully my ANT B New Life's will arrive tomorrow.

Make the Live Life in a 176 or 178, but don't change the dimensions. Would be a perfect option for shorter individuals looking for a more "traditional" pow ski.

Hey surface. I'm a proud owner of the Anthony B No Time. I looking for something a little longer and stiffer for jumps. Going switch is a must would you recommend the blanks or the Anthony B Double time?

I have the 2011 watch life, red, and the top sheet is chipping really bad, any products out there like an epoxy our clear resin to fill the chiPS in?

One of my friends worked his ass off all summer to be able to afford a pair of your No Time Skull candy collabs, and he was extremely stoked on them. He stood behind you guys 24/7 even when all of us gave him shit for buying your notoriously awful skis. He loved his jib sticks, and put around 10 days of sheer joy on the hill into them this season. Nothing big either, he's just trying to get into park. About a week ago, we were doing some shredding and he took a small booter. He landed slightly front seat, and RIPPED HIS BINDING OUT OF HIS NO TIMES. The skis were 100% to blame for the occurrence, mounted correctly and everything, but so structurally weak and poorly made that the pressure of him landing slightly forward of where he should have was enough to make the ski give in and shoot the binding out. Worse yet, is that you guys don't seem to be covering him for some bullshit reason. There was a lot of work and even more love that went into those things, but the fact that you refuse to stand by the people who enjoy shredding with your products is disgusting. It's offensive. I love you guys and think you make a lot of unique products that fill holes left in other ski companies, but for Christ's sake it really says something when you won't even back your own product. It gives the brand a terrible and cowardly representation, and I think you need to take some time off to try and shift your business model more towards supporting those poor kids who lovingly invest in your skis only to be, for lack of a better term, fucked harder than a Filipino whore at a frat house by your warranty offerings. /EndRant

^ That's definitely a brutal situation for your friend and hopefully Surface comes through for him.

I don't know if I would go as far as to say Surface makes notoriously awful skis. They've had a some issues with a few of their models, but others haven't had issues at all. I had Live Life 2's for about 4 years and other than a little chipping, they look brand new. Jumps, rails, pow, cliffs. I recently got New Life's and have never heard of any durability issues with them.

I definitely think that they have some fantastic options in their line, but some of their lower end models are not of the same quality... It just stinks with the whole warranty situation. Seeing my friend not being able to ski for such a dumb reason is painful, it almost makes me feel guilty when I go.

There was a little hiccup in the order i placed with Mike being at SIA and all. He resolved the issue in less than a day and was very gracious during the process.

Besides making awesome skis he also runs an awesome business and takes care of his customers. You cant ask for more from a business

I can second this, my ordered was shipped a month late, and he threw in some poles and a t shirt. Great guy!

Haven't been able to find any videos covering Surface's SIA stuff. The coverage this year across the board was somewhat disappointing. It almost seems like companies are trying to move away from SIA leaks. Any truth to my theory? If so, bummer. If not, where's some good footage of next year's line up? Especially the Lab002. I'm curious to learn more about it.

Yo Surface -

Get your guy Skyler, with warranty, in check. Dude was trying to make me pay $250 for a new pair of Double Times when my old ones completely delaminated due to defect. When I essentially told him no way, and I was done buying Surface skis, he came back and said he "looked at the wrong pair" and could get mine warrantied. Although he looked up my purchase info to begin with, so I dont know how he completely mismatched serial numbers/purchase info.

Either way, he almost completely fucked me over, or when on the verge of losing a long time customer he decided to change his mind. Not cool.

Because of that - probably wont be buying another pair of skis since your warranty department is so sketch.

Yo 45.- Quit whining. Stuff happens. No harm no foul. If it's over with and it was taken care of, get over it. That's no reason to not buy more surface. There are way too many people like you on this planet. I bet you're one of those people that call the police if some kids walk on your lawn.

You could get Skyler canned by posting cap like this. So what he made a mistake. When you're perfect then feel free to post this crap. Until then, shut up.

"No harm no foul." Fuck off kid. It's time for you to grow up. This "mistake" nearly set me back several hundred dollars. When your skis = your job, you can't afford to not have them covered via warranty when they fall apart. People like you are whats wrong with this world, you don't understand the concept of the real world. When people who represent companies make mistakes, they need to be informed and learn from it. The world isn't full of "forgive and forget" bullshit you try to instill on the internet. When you start living by what you preach, then feel free to post up your crap. Until then, shut up. Get out of your parents house.

I simply wrote to Surface to make sure this problem doesn't happen again. Skyler won't get canned - if anything they'll bring this to his attention and he'll learn from it. More than likely, he'll never even hear about it.

My reasoning for more than likely not supporting the company, is that this is the third pair I've had to warranty - and this incident was the last straw.
