Surface Nine Lifes... How are they?

are they too thin becuase they got 76 underfoot which seems pretty thin and how light are they and do they chip a lot etc + k

I've got a pair sitting in my closet right now... they are SUPER light, like the only ski I've felt that's lighter is the JO Pro. But, since they're not mounted yet, I can't give you any more info on them, sorry.

why do u have them if your sponsored by line?

and yeah ask big_spence, after 4 days his were destroyed. surface's quality is a joke

must be only on nine lifescuz ive ridden my watch lifes 30+ days this winterplus they were demoed at windells this past summer and have held up perfectly except for a few topsheet chips

My surfaces have held up fine. Live lifes though. I gave heard of quite a few people having problems with the park skis though.

yeah pm spence i talked to him a bit today and he showed me his edges and holy god motherfucking damn they looked like he han about a year and a halfs worth of hard riding in like 7 days so fucked

haha, yeah, I wanted to try a rockered park ski, unfortunately Line doesn't make any and I got a sweet deal on some used nine lifes. I wont be riding them very often at all, just wanted to give 'em a go.

wont you get dropped by your spancer if your ride other skees? but i agree the early rise will be money for icy laps on stinger

haha, boy I sure hope not.
Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking, they'll be fun for random laps, haha.

mine were complete shit.

isolated incident? maybe.

but they sure didn't give a flying fuck about me when it came to warranty.

we just told you there were terrible skis.

why would you even be tempted to look further?

but to answer your question, yes they do.

and they're 82 underfoot at 182cm.

obviously the edges are just straight shit, but are they really thin or something that is making them more prone to damage?

i found two edge cracks on my lizzys today and got sad :(

but thats after like 100 days probably, line whore ftw

sorry to bump but I don't wanna make another thread. So these skis sound pretty nice and I'm considering them for next year. Is it only the edges that suck? Im looking at these, punx or coreupt candides. I like the surfaces because of the slight rocker but they skinny as hell

if you want me to take some current skis i will.

i have massive chips missing from my topsheet.

pulling out of edge in the nose.

tons of edge cracks and edge missing underfoot.

destroyed sidewalls.

bases look like a rollercoaster.

all of this happened in under 15 days of use and Surface won't warranty them.

quite honestly, anyone who still buys these skis after everything i've shown/told them is kinda a retard.

if you pay more than the price of shipping for these skis you're getting ripped off imo.

shit, that sounds really bad, especially due to the fact they did nothing for you. I find it crazy that all of that damage happened in 15 days. How about punx, know or hear anything good/bad. considering nine lifes are out

punx are pretty durable from what i hear. i myself have never owned a pair, but i've heard pretty good things about them.

if you're looking for a durable, rockered park ski, i'm going to have to say on3p blue steeles. i saw a pair last week that had like 10 days on them and looked like they just came out of the factory.

I got nine lifes halfway through this season and put probably 30 days on them at this point, hitting rails non stop every single run every day, and there are three edge cracks total. I love those skis.

I skied mine pretty hard for about 40 days, mostly on rails. Apart from the edge cracks, which I've had on every pair of skis I've ever owned, everything is holding up really well. Sounds like you got a real bad apple..

yeah, honestly i'm just really disappointed. after this weekend another inch or so of edge fell out.

but they're a super fun ski apart from the durability. i will literally ski mine until i can't anymore. partially because i love how they ski and partially because i have no money to replace them. haha

weird man. I ride mine on asphalt and stuff and they're still holding up strong; they're just a little base burned.

My brother has the exact same skis, he says they're perfect for small and big park jumps, and they're fine on the regular mountain.
He said they do get out-of-tune and chip often. (He's gone over 50 times since November however.)

never did, i really wanna try them but i think my boots too small, i ride a 26.5 :( and im pretty sure your like 28.5 or 29.5 correct?

I have had my ninelifes and gone over 50 times with them. It is a super fun ski just some people get a bad pair and some dont? But i do agree with everyone else they chip easly and if you look at your edge there are little breaks! But i would say you get the watchlife. I have that ski to and it is the SHIT! such a good made ski and way fun!

ive been told they take a little while to get used too, ive done like 2 runs on them and the tail rocker makes it a bit weird when you land back seat, it makes you revert more and slip out a bit but other than that i could say they are the nicest looking ski on the market!

shitty titties.
i might get those as my next ski cept i wish they had a length in between the too short 171 and the too long IMO 181.
like a 176 would be perfect

They do ski pretty awesome.. Your experience is really the first bad experience I've ever heard about Surface.

my nine lives broke in 4 days of riding. literally bent in half. it was a fun ski until that point though
