Surface Double Time vs Armada Halo vs Armada Alpha 1

I searched and found nothing comparing these types of skis to each other

I ski mainly park and was looking for a pretty specific park ski. which one of the three is the lightest and has the lowest swing weight and also which one is better for everything in the park. And if you have skied any of these or better yet all of these tell me what you thought +k for responses

I cant vouch for the double times, but i can tell you about halos versus alpha 1's. alpha 1 is a stiffer halo with a faster base, and the exact same dimensions. Halo's are $50 cheaper, so whether or not you think it's worth it is up to you.

I currently own alphas, the swing weight is very low, lower than my other ski that is 13cm shorter than my alphas, so that shouldent be a problem. They are pretty siff but handle rails in a good way, i have progressed alot on these skis. You should really just pick halo's if you like a softer ski they are not noodels but softer so butters will come more easely (i have tried them too) , and the alphas if you prefer a stiffer ski or if you are planing to hit massive jumps but i would rather pick ar7 if you could go without rockerd park skis. (When it comes to big jupms do my alphas tend to wash out easely in a sketchy landings).

So I'm going to buy new skis this Summer, and I'm thinking Halos. I like rails more than jumps, but would Halos be still finer on lets say a 50 footer?

They're softer than the A1's but seeing as you're more into rails I would say go with them. Have you considered Thalls?

ya im leaning a bit towards the alphas but im 5'10" and about 140 lbs would the alpha be too stiff? and also should i get the 176 or 182s?

I have had a love/hate relationship with double times. I loved mine last year, that had a soft tail and stiff tip. I got some softer, more playful skis, and when I went back to this years double times with a stiffened tail, they were no fun. I bet they'd be a good ski for big jumps, as they have a ton of camber, lots of sidecut, and are really stiff, but they aren't great for doing playful jib stuff.

I think you should also consider the thalls, i have skilled the alpha 1s, halos and thalls and the thalls offer the butteryness and exellent rail work that the halos do but they have more control than the alpha ones on jumps and carving it feels like to me, they might not be as fast as the a1's but you should take it into consideration

otherwise, what everyone else said is good.

I have last years halos with fks bindings on them and they are terrific! The swing weight is light as hell and spiining is effortless. They are a playful ski but are still stiff enough for bigger park lines. an all around great ski!!!!

i am 6 foot 155 and i was kinda in the same boat. I got 182s and an so glad i did. the ski like a 176 and have a crazy light swing weight.

damn. i have this years double times and i have nothing bad to say about them. they're stiff and great for jumps. i think they're more of an all mountain type of ski compared to something that is just park specific. but like i said, i dont have any complaints about mine and they do great in the park.

Thats funny mine are going on the second year and have just 1 edge crack. However i just sold them to my buddy considering i had the same problem trying to go back and forth between my joysticks and doubletimes. He can Nosepress boxes and stuff fine with them. You just got to know how to work them.
