Surface Blank park si

i decided im skiing on some surface blanks this season. ive heard a lot of mixed opinions about the ski and surface in general. Im a skier on a budget so the blank was first on my list of a cheap, and good ski. im not worried about performance. Im sure that the performance will be just fine. im more concerned on durability and the fact that i have never seen a pair of used last years blanks. im planning on getting at least a season and a half maybe 2 seasons if im lucky. I cant really say im the most hardcore skier, but i do beat my skis pretty bad trying new tricks and different rails. what do you guys think?

I've never personally skied Surface before but how long your skis will last is based on:

- How hard you ski.

- How well you look after you skis.

- Luck.

If you ski super hard and slam your skis into rails a lot and bash them together doing grabs and stuff they're not going last more than a season most likely. It's unreasonable to expect a cheap ski to last you more than a season if you ski park aggressively. Remember you get what you pay for.

Also put some work or effort into maintaining them. Just basic stuff like detuning the edges, especially make sure you give them a detune underfoot if you're going to hit rails. It makes the edges last longer and less likely to rip out. Give them the occasional wax and base grind as well. It will help make the base last longer and it will keep the base fast so you don't start knuckling every jump.

Lastly it's down to luck. Sometimes you're unlucky and on the first day or riding a ski the edge cracks, tip delams or even the ski snaps. It happens and it sucks but that is life. However sometimes you're lucky and the ski will last a very long time and be skiable for tons of seasons.

Have been on Surface for 4 years now and a bunch of pairs. The park blanks (previous watchlifes)are an amazing ski I had two pairs of them and absolutely loved them. They held up great and I still use them sometimes. That being said, I don't ski rails often and have strayed towards more all mountain skiing 75+% of my day now. But they can hold a really nice edge, are pretty stiff which I like, and can hold their own in the deep stuff. Would highly recommend.

Thinking about getting myself the surface all mountain blanks soon

sweet. thanks for the info. kinda was a little nervous buying a brand i new nothing about.

both brands seem to be hit and miss. I had good luck with my afterbangs.. but back then I didn't ski very hard at all. blanks are inexpensive and they will act like it too. don't expect more than 50 days on them. (average season of a weekend warrior)

Is this accurate?

I've absolutely destroyed my Filthy Riches this season with +100 days, and was considering a pair of blanks due to their pricing and their length at 180cm.

If they only last around 50days, then ill put them out of the evacuation.

$250 ski vs $600 ski.

If you expect them to last as long the ON3P then you're going to most likely be servilely disappointed.

They may last way more than 100 days or they may last three runs, how many days you get on them like I said previously is down to luck, how you ski on them, and how well you look after them.
