Surface Backcountry Noise.

The Crested Butte backcountry has been going off after two consecutive 18 inch storms. Yesterday was rad, so I thought I'd share some stoke.

Trippy Surface support.

Thanks Surface for making the sickest skis ever. Be safe out there folks.

679055.jpeg679057.jpegWorking really hard at setting up a network of bike to skin to ski options in the canyon above my house. The possibilities are there if you are willing to pedal a bit... OK... pedal a lot, but still, they are there. Today we found a little nugget of sheltered Northeast facing pow that required 2.7 miles of difficult pedaling and about an hour of skinning. Possibly disclose its wherabouts in a future post.

Hopefully everyone was safe and sound traveling the backcountry today. There were some impressive avalanches here in the Wasatch. - Schneider

hello der.

I have some boronowski 184 new lifes, pair of barons on em. heavy. anyway just for short tours cos im unfit anyway what skins do u guys use on these things? cheap would be good but that doesnt seem to be possible, so any suggestions pls

BD does make a great skin.. however, we have had the most success with the New Life modes using the G3 skins because of their tip clip system. It works super well on really wide / blunted out ski tips.

Check out G3 or also known as Genuine Guide Gear.

i made a new tip loop on my BD skins for my new lifes by cutting and bending a wire hanger into a loop and fitting it into the plastic piece that the stock tip loop goes into. not the prettiest and not a perfect but it lets me share skins between my less obese tipped sticks.

Only been out for one tour so far this season. Snow has been shit here in Washington. Fingers crossed for a powdery beginning to 2014!
