Surface and ON3P

So I want to start taking my park skiing more seriously and I want to buy new skis. Both Surface and ON3P from what I've seem to be what I'm looking for in park skis, good for rails, poppy and buttery enough but still good for jumps. I don't know if its just the pros that ride them who are really good, since I've never actually skied any of them, but the skis seem pretty solid. What do you think, are they worth buying or should I be looking at something else?

think for what you are describing (flexy in the tails, stiff under foot, soild construction) you should look at the new liberty ltes

The only skis from surface that would match that would be the No Times. Although you gave us no info other than you want a ski that can butter but still be stabile on jumps...Isnt that would everyone wants

I don't need nor want them be the best skis for buttering I just don't want them super stiff, I said that from what I saw in videos from John Ware for example, that they looked like they weren't either too stiff nor to soft and I wanted to know if that was true, and to know more about the not time, if its durable for example...

This is me btw:

6'00, 145lbs

I'll be doing park and the usual, from the apartment to the park all mountain. I wont be doing powder or trees.

Well they beefed up the No Times and i havent ever snapped or had edge problems with the newer versions...Surface skis are super fun but i would plan on using them only in the park/groomers if i was you.

filthy rich's would be the best choice, rocker for added playfulness, stiffer for stomping landings, thicker edges and bases then surface, faster bases then surface, 100% bamboo core (stronger, lighter), made by NS'ers for NS'ers

love my ON3P blue steeles, now replaced by filthy rich. cant go wrong. surface has durability issues, ON3P has been pretty solid for me

Ya many people have complained about surface durability, but how many have you seen complain about on3p? Everything on3p does they seem to do right, and just knowing that kind of a brand with such a high reputation is behind your multi hundred dollar purchase is pretty nice and gives you some peace of mind

Yes, it's basically going to be Park and groomers for me.

Thanks for all the feedback, your answered the questions I had about both. It's probably going to come down to price and maybe which graphics I like best.

..................................................................

all hope is lost now

I understand why you would say that, the thing is, I live in Europe, so the shipping costs, for both surface and ON3P would end up being something like 200$ plus the actual price of the ski, and there aren't even a lot of online dealers to choose from, only Evo I think, and evo is everything but cheap...Thus, making me have to choose between the two, or even Thalls again, based on price.

I don't think it'll be that much. Try to contact Scott (iggyskier) or Ginko About shipping cost.

The shipping for my Filthy Richs wasn't anywhere near $200. As someone mentioned already (sorry forgot your name!) PM or email Scott or Rowen and they'll be able to help you out.

On topic, Filthy Richs slay hard! So poppy and buttery. I haven't had this amount of fun on/with any ski, I've ever used.

Shipping to Europe got a bit cheaper this year after we modified our shipping boxes to slimmer profile ones. Shoot me an email with your city and post code, I'll check to see what we can do for you.

just wanted to chime in here and say that the 186 jeffrey is a phenomenal ski. i haven't had the privilege of skiing them in any nice snow yet, being from pennsylvania, but they rip groomers and are super stable plowing through the awesome slush piles we had last week. basically, the ski inspires confidence and makes you a better skier, and if the filthy rich is similar, you can't go wrong. i think they might be my next park ski.
