Has anyone gotten this done? I read about it in a ski mag and checked out there site ( surefoot.com ). Any info would help.

I had a set of their footbeds ~10 years ago. They use a fully-loaded weight molding system, meaning you're standing upright when they analyze your foot. i.e. your foot is flattened. This is bad for two reasons:
1. If your weight changes (+/-15 lbs), the footbed no longer conforms to your foot.
2. Skiing is a dynamic sport, molding the foot in a static, stressed position doesn't bold well if you want to do anything other than stand straight up.
Also there's an issue about the blocking they do under the toes which doesn't allow the toes to spread out naturally and potentially hindering performance.
Anyway, I got much better work at Green Mountain Orthotic Lab in Stratton, VT, who use a partially-weighted system and have a more hands-on approach.

Sorry ride4frnt, but they're still using the same methodology I participated in. Yes, there were computers 10 years ago. The foot scanning, topography mapping, and milling haven't really changed - it's just the process they've refined over the past 20 years.
They are very competent bootfitters, don't get me wrong. I merely disagree, from personal experience, that their footbed philosophy yields the highest comfort and performance.
