Superunknown winner?

I guess i did forget to mention that we push out an 80-90 footer for our end of season camp, sorry. But the kid took 7th in aspen, those jumps were far from small. I don't know whos going to win, but I think he's got a better shot than no poles hesher and mcchesney.

are you stupid? this jump is at the end of the year, i ski with him and there is no way he could of because its at our end year camp. and the super unknown was in January.

sure your rodeo looks different, but im talking about rails, not jumps...

everyone looks the same on rails besides andy parry, hornbeck, and maybe wallisch and walker, but in the superunknowns it was/is all switch ups and pretzels.....

Looks like you won't be buying anymore level 1 movies ever again then, he's not going to win.

im gonna say the opposite. if he does win, im never buying another level 1 flick. cuz clearly berman has lost his mind if he picks that kid

as to chris laker winning i am not so sure. i think level one is going to pick somebody i bit older than him who can fully commit to filming all year. i dont think chris had the smoothest style most of his rails tricks were penciled like crazy ( not taking anything away from that he spins the fastest i've ever seen and some of the stuff he did i cant even comprehend) and yeah he didnt really have much jumps to work ( take note the last 2 winners were from pa which believe me is just as bad so its not an excuse) with but either way most of the other edits had some bigs jumps and tricks even though the kid did a double off of a not so big jump at age 15 which is rediculous. i think there are a few guys who could win it this year. laker will most likely win if he enters in the future. and i also agree about the creativity problem. over half of the edits looked the same, it has so be soo hard to judge this but i hope compton, berman, or luczkow wins. and to the people saying "marty bullet will bring so much diversity to level 1's movies" anyone can wear tight pants, no offense he's really good, but that was the only thing "unique" in his edit.

bullets style is different too tho, the tight pants does help alot to make him different, but his style is still very original.

that was a quality post.
And to whoever is saying slays flatboxes. The winner would get to be filmed on a jump, not rails. So if you think laker is the best park jumper this year. He should have a shot at winning.
I understand people that arent from the midwest didnt know he has been hitting 80 foot jumps for at least 3 years now. It wasnt in his edit so you cant judge it.
Im not saying laker should win. But I think he was one of the best jumpers in this group.

For those who say they havent heard of Laker before, he was on that Cartoon Network athlete thing.. he isn't completely unknown to the NS world.

Level1 wants style incorporated into ability. That is what makes a segment skier. Why do you think Hornebeck isn't in X-games? Cause he focuses more on style and getting the shot, rather than just hucking switch 10s and dub flips.

Bergeron is my top pick, the kid has flav like Casabon, and I think he deserves a win.

Laker will have his time later on, he just isnt ready.

Did you guys not watch Will Bermans video? 2 days of filming this year, 2 days! And those weren't just some jump tricks, those were fully stomped lines. So clean and buttery. I am amazed that in 2 days someone can do all that. And It isn't just because he stomped a double either...

id like to see you take on laker in a 1v1 slopstyle contest, you will change your mind real quick

ok,i guess i was trying to get my point across but didnt do it in a manner that made sense. hes raggin on us for supporting laker just because we are from the midwest, wouldnt he support anybody from his region/ mtn? (i guess i should have put it this way in the first place) soo DISREGARD PREVIOUS STATMENT

Woaaaah bro....obviously you've never seen me shred. I stomp safety 3's at least 75% of the time, I can 270 on and off flat boxes, and I can ski backwardz!

Clearly this kid would smoke me, and roughly 99% of everyone else on this site. If I had to be as good, or better, than someone to have an opinion about their skiing, I wouldn't even have an account. I've yet to say that Laker is anything other than an incredible talent.

Wait a second.....you're from Ohio? Shocking....you should probably just re-read my last post. Thanks for making my point that much stronger.

He didn't use any of last years footage, he filmed his edit in a couple weeks. And I'm not entirely sure he was there last year, he might have been in Utah or something, I don't remember.

shut the fuck up
i didn't like that edit at alland i have no confidence the kid could shoot with level 1maybe in a couple yearsnot now

IMO laker has the tricks but not the style

...but i am so fucking sick of hearing all his cronnies talk so much shit to anyone who calls him out for hucking shit (which, i don't care who you are, he does) and get butt hurt when they logically explain why he shouldn't win.

bottom line...fuck this thread

easy buddy no need to get pissy. im actually baffled how my post could piss anybody off at all. just saying he could cork 10 an 83fter when he was 13. not saying hes gonna win or that whoever u wanna win necessarily isnt. chill out

ya lakers was pretty sick but it for sure wont win

I honestly think McChesney's was the sickest edit and will be the winner. He had a banger urban segment with an insane arsenal of tricks. He had a banger park segment with banger jumps and rails. All of this with tons of style. And you can tell that he can go even bigger and stylier if he gets the chance to film with level 1.

Although I could actually see Berman picking a few, cause why the hell not, just more kids in your crew that throw down

90% of this thread has no idea what they are talking about and are just hyping their homies. Learn to open your minds to something other than your homie you think is the shit.

thats why they should pick him up now and let him progress. letting him progress and then picking him up in a few years would be a waste of talent

i dont know that laker should win or could win.. but i also dont think perfect north slopes is a shitty hill or shitty features, i dont believe that his style is like it is due to poorly made or small features.. i think his style is because of who he rides with.. . the only reason his style is hucked or sketchy is because he rides with us.. we are huckers and sketchy.. (no offense pns'ers, its partially my fault, your all gettting way more stylie but we tend to be a season behind on the whole style thing)
I do think that laker is very shapable right now..
Laker can learn any trick, and he can learn it any way you tell him.. Once he gets an idea of where you want him to go.. he will go farther than you expect in that direction. I think that now is the time to bring him in so he can build to the style you want from him.. getting him riding with other people with different styles is the way to do it.
Win or lose laker is going places.. i just think he will get there alot faster by riding with people that are the gamechangers/trendsetters because he does adapt and advance so quickly..

Bergeron for the win please? Or Seany J please?

I have never met Bergeron but Seany J is the nicest guy I have ever met. Not only is he good at skiing but he is nice to everyone! Not like some previous level 1 superunkown rider who snake everyone and when someone falls off a rail makes fun of them and yells at them (cough brogan)

my vote is no, not chris laker, maybe in a couple years.

people are like OMG 810 ON!!!! HE'S 15!!!! HE DOESN'T AFTERBANG LIKE AN IDIOT!!!!

810 on was a penciled 900 that tapped the end of a box

yes he's 15, so give him more time to develop.

and afterbang looks baller as fuck and you all know it.

Chris laker is mad sick. but i dont think he should win. he dosent fit level 1 style. he spins way to fast for him to win. i saw other entires that were more smooth and mad sick. would you like to see a hucked switch 1260 or a mad syle 900?? i would like to see a mad style 900 wether a hucked 1260.

I hope compton or sean jordan wins

The real deal of the superunknown man, is to find somebody that maybe this year and next year for sure gonna be able to get at level 1 handrails shoots or level 1 spring park shoot

1) the kid must not be at school or be able to travel and to fix it with his school and parents to get at the shots

2)the fact that the kids do sw 1260 with a nice boots pants grab dont give a fuck at berman , he wanne see something that, if it would have been shoot with a nice sunset and a big jump, the trick that the guy did in his video would be in his movie for sure man, do you understand the point....270 double sw up to 450 out on a medium park feature dont give a fuck at berman , he waanna see big handrail with a nice steeze, a nice trick and a CLEAR landing...

so my vote go to paul bergeron, yes he is my friend and i come from quebec , but i know he deserves it and he really like skiing, he lives for that and another reason why he sould win is because he's a friend of phil casabon , jf houle and aalexis godbout so they already teach him some tricks and I think is ready to get the opportunity to go at a shooot.

t mieux de me payer un spagat cesar mon paul au relais pour ca man !!!! sinon 220 te tombe ds face !!!

level 1 tries to stay away from big spins, becasue for the most part they leave style behind. Henrik even apologied when he threw a switch 12 at the windells shoot but berman said it didn't matter cause henrik didn't leave his style behind on that trick

I'm not saying who should or should not win.
But love him or hate him..... Laker is the most talked about.
Not that coincides with anything that has to do with anything, im just sayin.
