Superunknown VII

The new rules are designed to make you all think of editing your entry in the context of editing a segment... (well, that, and it makes it MUCH easier to judge 100+ vids if they aren't all 7 mins long). The idea is to put your best content in there and paint as good a picture of yourself as you can. Use your best judgement to determine if something is a repeat trick- there's no cut and dry answer, but once you've shown that you can do a particular trick on a particular feature, there's no reason to show it again. Max out your 2.5 mins with the biggest diversity of skills that you can!
 
i think that anyone even asking for more clarification of the switchup rule should be banned from superunknown comps for life..
and if i had my way, yes, a skier slide on any rail counts as a skier slide, no repeats.
 
nay. i think different feature = different trick.but obviously if you have 5 skier slides of the same type rail then thats kinda repeating
The new rules will make it sooooo much better this year. All the vids last year looked the exact same.
 
...or how about if refresh taught us anything, its that even the most difficult rails, like 5 kinks and closouts, can be spun onto or tailpressed..
how about lets see the death of the skierslide as a legit trick. find some way to differentiate the basic railslide..
 
When I first read it, the 25 swup rule seemed retarder. However, after thinking about it for a little, 25swup requires probably 15 railtricks or more. In a 2:30 long edit, that is a lot of railtricks.
 
In the downloadable pdf it says: All resumes, trick lists, VHS tapesand still photos will be completely ignored and immediately forwarded to Warren Miller Entertainment.Hahahaha!
 
Has anyone actually counted the number of switchups in last years finalists? Where did the rule come from?

Just counted the switch ups in Marty Bullet's Superunkown:

33 switch ups, which includes two 3 swaps as 1 switch up...
but his edit was also 4:47--almost twice the 2:30 limit...
 
24 switch ups in wallisch's superunknown..which includes about 6 3 swaps...and his vid is 6 min long...1 min over the 2:30 limit
