Just thought i would let everyone know, i know theres alot of talk about the upcommers, and already next years super unknown. Word on the NS street is that Gus Kenwhoever could do it, but apparently superunknown isnt about doing really hard tricks, sooo with no further adew i would just like to let everyone know that TOM WARNICK is going to win.....

-He can do every trick.... ever (CLAIM!!!! but true)

-Better Style than Wallisch and Brogan (CLAIM!!! more or less true...)

-Has done plenty of tricks that no one has heard of or ever done....

i do not dispute this whatsoever. I'm fully confident that tammy is one of the best, and most overlooked skiers on the east right now. Kid absolutely slays.

i dont think gus will take it for one reason, i think he will already have a legit contract and wont be allowed to enter superunknown.

you don't get it. forced style doesn't mean you realize that what you are doing could be cooler. It means that you are imposing an idea of how your body should look into your skiing, making it look unnatural and forced.

That doesn't mean that focussing on style, on how you look and feel when you are skiing, is always going to be forced. Focussing on style will, hopefully, bring out the INNATE steeze within, rather than create afterbang steeze.

this thread is funny, but there is way too much useless bickering going on lately about style.

you know who has forced style?? POP STARS, RAPPERS! FASHION MODELS! .. anyone else in the "style" business. Skiers are just athletes, skiing is a lifestyle... thats the only STYLE that matters, participation and enjoyment... there should be no style requirements to participate. Ski however the fuck you want to, ski like someone you just saw do something cool, could have been on TV or from the damn chair lift. Thats what we all grew up doing anyway wether you knew it or not.
Id like to see super unknown for big mountain skiers (big lines.com does this now that i think of it), i think the argument over the winner would go something like this... holy shit that dude went huge, holy shit that guys skis fast, that dude rips.

Everyones over complicating this shit... theres a reason FIS scores "style" in freestyle judging cause anyone can do it!! you just have to keep your legs together and you arms straight during your quad full!!

poor mikee just knows how to piss everyone off, and enjoys doing it. his personal opinion on a skier is valid and thoughtful... and no one is required to give a shit, especially the skiers themselves.

Sorry if i came off as "bitter" i knew i wasnt going to win for a long time (basically when i entered) so ive been way over it for awhile. I actually had money on brogan winning... Hes the kind of skier level 1 wants. Brogans my boy, hes slays with mad style and probably did need it more than me, and im amped for him. This thread was made for some hype on my boy Tammy cause no one knows whats up with him. So im sorry im such a "bitter dick", much love...
 
how did you know you weren't going to win?  i thought yours was the best by far, but maybe that's just because i'm really impressed by rail transfers

And if Brogan is your boy, and you're so stoked on him winning, then why would you kick dirt on him in your original post by saying that apparantly SU isn't about hard tricks?
 
Gus and nick have pretty similar style so if its anything like this year i guess he won't win. Gus has some dirty rail tricks but nicks urban was the most tech shit I have ever seen not to mention his edit was well rounded (like gus).
