Why does level 1 appreciate his talents? In my opinion his edit was certainly one of the bests and should have made it to finals. But even if you feel differently you cant argue with the fact that his unnatural dub 7 wasn't even a candidate for best trick but a 180 was??? Made me sad

Yeah he definitely should have been a finalist. He did a freaking 5 swap and like 6 or 7 dubs. I know it's not all about doubles but still... his entry was insane
 
Who cares , he will most likely win the Olympics in 2018 ( calling it now - you heard it hear first )

I heard rumours that Brent Whipple hates superunknown and thats why their relationship isnt all flowers and cum guzzling.
 
He's a comp skier, and a really good one at that, but he's not much of a ski movie skier. He wouldn't fit in a level 1 movie very well. Sure, he'd get some shots on the jump shoots but he didn't have urban or pow and thats a large part of what their movies consist of.
 
He's way more park oriented although I found his "park" entry more impressive then almost every urban entry.
 
Well this absolutely isn't true I've always been a fan of superunknown. I wouldn't have made one if I hated it... and thanks to everyone who enjoyed the edit! would have liked more urban but not enough snow in tahoe this year
 
Personally, I think it is because of the lack of urban in his video. Level 1 isn't looking for kids that can cruise a park and slay the shit out of it, they have a bunch of those guys already. They're looking for kids that are doing creative, tech, and insane shit out of the park.
 
Idk I heard straight from Brent Whipple himself that he hated superunknown. He told me he only wanted to even do the contest because he wants to get famous. Just goes to show that being selfish never works out in the person's favor
 
HOLY FUCK . his edit is wild as fuck. How he did not make finals is beyond me. but he will def go places without a fucking doubt , superunknown or not haha
 
hes too young and sponsors dont pay young people enough to make a banger segment (obviously there are exceptions like petit and kye when they were like 10 but thats the exception rather than the rule)

How old is he?

He should just put his edit in TGR's grom contest if he's 18 or under.
 
This is what I have been saying all along in the comments but people are igant as fuck. The kids say hes too young just don't know what there talking about. The thing is he got 2nd at junior worlds in Italy last year and was in qualifiers for dew tour this year and hes only like 18 so he will def be going big. The only reason I know this is because I ski for WV and so does brent at the end of the year and he kills it like no other and on tramps is in a league of his and his summer training edit is savage

well it can't be because its just park, lars was a finalist with a brick edit. strongly agree this should have been a finalist too, but maybe level1 realizes he's better off staying focused on competing.
 
I don't know if i'd use the word hate, but it is hard to be believe that his edit wasn't in the finals. That edit was jaw dropping, one of the best iv'e seen this year.
 
brent kills it, and anyone who watched that edit was blown away, whether they liked to admit it or not. no need to win a contest for approval, brents fire is just getting gassed.

Level 1 does not need another one of the same park skiers. Sure he's talented, but why spend all the time and money on this competition to select another similar skier to see if he fits in with the Level 1 crew? LSM won because his style is unique and his outlook at skiing is different. Same with Sig, or whoever else won last year. Its far too difficult to select from 'just another park skier'. They want someone who will fit in and ski well with their crew, not just show up at a park shoot and throw a few doubles.

You seem like a nice guy :) Anywho, I only started filming this season and I blew my knee 4th day so I didn't get any ski footage, only slacklining. I did a couple rodeos off a flat-up rail in black park last spring though.
