SUPERPIPES and michigan skiers

^no midwest still rips harder theres more love for skiing...yeah you ski only on weekdays....we ski everday on absolute shit. You guys have it way good.

 
MORE LOVE FOR SKIING? How in the fuck can you say that? You just proved your ignorance. I did not say that we only ski the weekdays, I said that we ski the resorts on weekdays and head out to other places once your gaper ass shows up on vacation acting like you own the place. Most of us ski over 100 days a year easy. How does that make us not love skiing? Shut the fuck up and go back to the landfill ropetow. Once you get your GED, head out west and wash dishes at the restaurants I eat at and you can try and keep up with the locals at your mountain when you have an afternoon off.

Well if my mommy and daddy lived out west or were rich enough to send me there I'd be there in a heartbeat. But I'm here, in Michigan, making the best of what I got. I'm not claiming to be better than any of you cats but I put just as much time/effort/love into as you do. And so what if Ripley barely has any vertical? You drop in for the park at the top and by the time you hit the last table you're at the bottom, so instead of 10-20 long runs you get 40-50 runs hitting back to back tables. Plus Ripley is public, and budgeted by MTU, so it's maintained by two old school groomers, which puts us back even more. It's not all about some cab cork 9's either buddy, a simple switch 180 true nose is funner in my book, which is what skiing's all about.

I'm not agreeing with anything that T-Roy said either, I'm just sticking up for my local hill that goes way out of their way to build super sick jumps that get hit regularly by about 5-10 kids.

i think the point of this thread is.. just because you live out west, doesnt mean your any better than the people who live in the midwest...

the only midwestners are so good is because theres nothing long and steep. its flat and short. lets see one of them come tackle the big sky tram.

 
as far as big mountain skiing goes, bohemia is as challenging as anything out west (it even says on the infomercials)

i am from mi and i skied the big sky tram no prob my first time out west. just not the chutes. and mi is almost always shitty and icy at least t he lower pen.

I'm from MN, and ski at Spirit Mountain usually. Last year I wen't out to Winter Park, CO and Breck and I was one of the better skiers there in the terrain park. Midwest skiers are some of the best in my opinion.
