Superpipe at silverton mountain

wow that is fucken amazing but kinda gay to tho cuase since its redbull and super duper private and shit prob only a few riders will ever go near it like.

but that is sick to tho the scenery and the mountains jsut imagine riding down a redic sick pow line into a perfect ollympic sized pipe
 
Yeah they built it specifically for Shaun before X-Games. Pretty baller if you ask me.Rumor has it Simon and Tanner will be sessioning it soon together.

also, funny thing is that everytime they bomb velocity, it sluffs right through the tranny... haha

When did hating on Shawn White become the thing to do? While we're at it, why don't we hate on Jon Olsson too. I think it's cool, I mean, why not.

there are millions of other better places to build a private pipe. i totally agree with everyone there. silverton is not the place and to me it seems kinda fake to build a huge feature like that in the bc, or at least in silverton.

why? it's not like it's going to ruin your skiing experience when you're at silverton for the day. You know, there are a million places to build a slopestyle course, and yet Red Bull is doing on in the middle of a town, and there's only love for that... I don't see how you can justifiably hate the halfpipe. and say the sluff goes into the tranny - just reshape it, no biggie.

and as for shawn white - can you please tell me what your definition of a sell out is, and after that tell me that if you were as successful as Mr. White you wouldn't go for it either. I mean, why the fuck not? I could debate with you that as soon as you are a sponsored skier, you have just sold out. If you like skiing powder but your sponsors want you to enter a certain competition on a certain date, but it happens to be one of the most epic pow days ever... I think we're both smart enough to know that you have to enter that competition - and as soon as you do, you're selling out my friend.

saying it's a dumb place for a random pipe is like a double negative... you would be implying that the pipe itself is random, when in actually it was placed there on purpose
 
woah guys...haha its really not all that imposing on anything actually, and the sluff goes through and they dig it out in a few hours. and seriously the stuff that is gonna go down will be well worth it. no one will be complaining when they see footy of all this. and above all else, i am stoked to be skiing nice pipe in june... hahah chill out guys, its all in good fun.
 
i just got back from there and they have this big ass foam pit that they are going to put in too. it was dope there was red bull snowmobiles ands snow cats

Private pipe in the run out of some of the best BC lines in that area in the middle of a pow field = gay

that said I still want to see someone get quarter pipe size air after flying of that Mt. and taking a hit in the pipe
 
Unless they are hitting some sick bc lines, then hitting the pipe, it is gay for it to be there. It's not that its imposing on skiing at silverton, its just that it's wierd and fake. A slopestyle course on a street is sick because there are tons of people around that get to watch. There are like 400 people in silverton. I just think if they wanted to make a private pipe, they could pick a better location, with better views and shit, soemthing like close to the top of a mountain, not a run out for a bunch of chutes.

maybe i hate shaun white cause he's so overrated and a little bitch. there was a vid on NS of some kids that tried to have a normal conversation (not like OMG shuan white! can i have your autograph), or something like that and he was a huge dick to them.

waste of money. thats some redbull dumb shit that is standard for them. they have too big of a marketing budget. i can picture them talkin it out:

"we have an extra million layin around. what should we do with it?"

"what if we build a superpipe in the middle of nowhere colorado because the other 3 comp worhty pipes in colorado are just not costly enough. we could never burn through a cool mil buyin breck lift tix for shuan. we gotta spend more."

hes certainly not innovative, but hes incredibly consistent, and def has the ability to hold up under pressure.
 
does it really matter? or are some people here just jealous of the fact that some kid gets to shred an epic pipe to himself in a location where there are not a million little gapers trying to get his autograph like im sure half of you would on his site. let him be.
