Been hearing about supernova lately for all of the Downloading needs. Has anyone used it and what is the general feedback?

love it, love bittorrent, and i reccomend it to anyone

p.s. use bittornado, it gets faster speeds than any other client

 
its descent...you can get a lot of demos really easily and usually the full version of games too...and the video library is pretty huge, but it can take a while to dl

yeah seemed slow when i tried using it, but its got a good selection

definetly used it alot.. very slow even on fast connections.. but always has some new albums and pre release shit. decent amount of movies... and of course the apps... photoshop... dreamweaver..pretty much whatever you want.

its not slow if you open the ports you need. I had the same problem, but now every single one of my downloads goes at 50-100 kps.

You have to open ports 6881-6889. Differs by firewall, but those are the ones you need. Then bittorrent will zomm along at like 60-100 kbps

i did that^

but I am only getting like 5k still. does anyone have a lynksys router that can tall me if i am doing it right???

also, does this make my computer any more vaunerable?

i am prutty good with computers, but, i typed in the ports to folward, clicked apply changes then whent back the my router's folwarding page and none of the numbers were still there! plus my dl of true crime is only going to 7.5k and while that is an improovment, it is still shitty!

For everyone that uses bittorrent and listens to punk you should check out www.punktorrents.com

It's a sick forum and you can get most punk cds that you can't find anywhere else.
