Superhero vs. Afterbang Shorty

Hey,

My 8yo son is headed to Copper to compete in the USASA Nationals next week. He was on chronic minis until someone stole them off our front porch this week. I'm trying to decide between the Superheros and the Afterbang Shorties. I like the geometry and construction of the Shorties, but they are 420g heavier (about a pound) than the Superheros. Since he only has a couple of training days before the comps I don't want to mess him up. Thoughts?

btw, if you see anyone selling chronic minis in a 133 on this site with a big chip in the tip they are STOLEN
 
wouldn't the super heroes be more like a shrunken down blend where the afterbags would be a park rat and jib ski?

Thanks. I think you are right. The Super Heroes are about $50 cheaper, but for the amount of abuse he puts his skis through in the park and in our backyard he might be better off with the Shorties.
 
i saw this title and thought that "shorty" was like the stupid rapper name for a girl, and you were debating supermaning or afterbanging your girlfriend and i was like, what a fucking stupid thread. now im like, im so fucking stupid.
