what would you guys recommend? i was thinking the vortech put stock into the cobras, but i have no experience in engine work on 8-cylinder mustangs. and im sure as hell not putting a turbo kit in, so dont be stupid and recommend one.

why dont you want a turbo? They are cheaper, and they are a little more DD friendly when you start pushing big out puts. Stay away from the vortec ones if you can. Most cobra owners one of the first thing they do besides intake/exhaust is to swap blowers to a Kenne Bell of a Eaton roots style blower. They deliver much more power than the stock blowers, plus they are much more effiectent, moddable (pullies), plus the S/C whine is waaaay cooler!

there's a bunch of them out there, but I'm not really a ford guy so I don't know any specifics. You should join the car cult, you would probly get a better response there

im pretty sure he is in it, and it wouldnt do much good, cause the cult is dead as fuck right now, it sucks!

no im not in it, i have other forums for that, but they dont keep up to date like ns does. ill take an invite though.

im not sure why i dont want turbo.. i like the background scream of superchargers, and superchargers are going to get more power in all gears, turbos start to get up at higher speeds/gears. i think gt's would be better off with something that delivers strong at all speeds rather than hyping up the engine and working it up in higher gears.

Tell that to Lingenfelter.......(TT Vette)

Or even Buick for that matter.... (Grand National)

In a high power output battle, the turbo will win. A lot here will depend on your goals as well for the car.

There is a saying about turbos... It's not lag. It's just foreplay.

A turbo will take some time to hit, but when it does, it'll make more power and hit MUCH harder.

Either way. I am happy that you know that FI > NA.

However, asking NS about a technical automotive question is not the best idea.

Afterall, the majority don't own cars, let alone a modified car.
