So i broke out the good old game cube and have been playn this game alot. It could posabley the best game ever. So any of u play this game still. And who is u fav character. Mine would be Marth And Dr. Mario

I loved smash bros for N64. The hyrule/starfox levels were the bomb. Captain Falcon and Yoshi were my favourites.

awesome nobody cares, why the fuck would you post in this thread anyway.

buuuuuuuuuut

roy from meele was my favorite, I was pissed when they took him out of brawl.

easily one of the best 4 player games

Melee - FOX, and some jigglypuff

Brawl - OLIMAR, DIDDY KONG, FOX, LUCAS

i know itll never happen, but bring it on ill take anyone in those games

ol' game cube? that shit aint old. if you're not playing the N64 version then you're not playing smash. spike your ass, pussy.

sorry bro, but you're just straight up wrong on this one, unless you're a mega-hipster. N64 smash = nostalgia, that's it. its inferior to the new ones in every way.

ssb to ssbb

12 chars to 35 chars

9 stages to 41 + customs

no charge smash to charge smash and over all better gameplay (only one that needs to be here)

but i guess you can tell yourself whatever you want. bud.

those are just stats tho... more levels/characters doesn't necessarily mean better

There's no BS in smash64 *cough* smash move floating disc thing *cough*

but i do hear the gamecube controller is superior.

can't really quantify the gameplay that's also better in every way, so i made a list of stuff i could. only thing that's not really good about it is final smashes, and you can turn them off.

If anybody knows whats good, Super SMash Bros for N64 tops any game ever made, every weekend I go skiing my lovely n64 is at my condo, and smash bros is whats good.

no. the n64 is simpler, which is what makes it so much better. its way more balanced and has the best mechanics out of any of the smashes. n64 >>>>>>than all

thats how i like to get down

exactly, it takes WAY more skill to be good at smash 64 which makes it better. but you can't blame his simple mind being attracted to the one with more bells and whistles, though.

sorry dawg but N64 smash is shit compared to melee. Its like playing pong. the controls are insensitive, the characters have less moves, and you cant load up a smash. It takes nothing to learn a character and you could pick up any character and be just as good without practice. Its fun every now and then but youre not really playing super smash brothers. its like a minigame

this is coming from someone who has played so many hours of it and loved it so much its rediculous. Maybe youre just not into it that much but seriously, its not even a comparison.

melee and brawl are the way to go if you actually wanna play super smash brothers

hahaha, you haven't got shit. if you were good, you'd know there's huge differences between certain characters with combination moves, spikes, smashes, home run swings... just stop, you're embarrassing yourself now. the original is best and anyone who knows how to play backs that up. now go play your little purple game cube at the children's table!

youll never convince me the n64 smash is better.

anyone with any minimal video game skill could pick it up and in an hour be a pro, the same CANNOT be said for melee. it actually takes creative strategy, practice and skill to be good

you're just showing me over and over again that you're highly over estimating your own abilities. but hey have fun with that and let us know when you decide to not suck anymore!

if youre gonna be in an argument about the game, then have an argument. Making assumptions about me is just pointless.

melee and brawl are way better because of greater depth of moves, characters, items, and levels. It actually takes creativity and style to be good.

simple may be better for some things, but its not here

bro, quit using insults as an argument. you're completely wrong on this one and the facts are there to prove it. The same people made the game each time, only with improvements. ssb64 was great, and a classic, but the new ones are just much better versions of the same game.

usually when you're outnumbered, you're not the one who's right... and its not an assumption to make that you suck at the game when you think you can play for an hour and master the game and every character. so again, have fun with your flashy lights, button mashing, aim for luck crap. with video games, the more simple it is, the more skill it takes to be good at which is great. oh and using items is a GREAT way of showing how good you are! hahaha
