i just watched both videos.

the skating could be much better.

the tags on buildings and stuff i have no problem with - if you make it look decent.

but, the fact that you did it to someone's van made me lose all respect for you.
 
yeah, i talked to the guy who made the vid about the van and he said he thought it was unchill but he didn't have any say, he just followed them around. he said if it was up to him, they would never have tagged teh van
 
Grafart is way better than bombing, but oh well. I like how that tried to capture the night-time life of a skater, pretty sweet. I feel like the Second Coming was poorly edited, it ended too abruptly.

The tagging however... You guys who do this piss me off. For me, there's a difference between people who make REAL statements and tags, the real graffiti artists who make a veritable work of art on a building, usually something abandoned, and make an impact on the city environment. Those people i have respect for, they are decorating the city and making it look nice, they have talent, and it's enjoyable to look at.

Your guys' thing, is absolutely retarded and ugly. It takes no skill to tag a "name" like you do, it's in simple, ugly black and in the very least absolutely unimaginative. Also, you're vandals on a larger scale than most real graffiti artists. I can understand tagging a derelict place. I can understand tagging alleyways. I can even understand tagging public building front and other public property, with a message (see Banksy). I don't think it's validated in any way by the message, but i can understand it and appreciate it.

But you guys... You tagged some dude's van... his friggin personal property. You tagged a street sign, poorly, a billboard, disgustingly, but a dude's VAN?... What you do is not making any impact on the city more so than making it ugly to look at. Get some real skills, make some real art, don't simply throw a name up and claim it.

cant say that i have heard of them. but guessing by the fact that the group of tagers, they must not be to worried about there image. and not that image is everything but whatever you represent it doesnt look very positive, good, or seem to have an up lifting cause. wanna share what they are all about? other then climbing hard to reach places and tagging upside down on building that is barely visible from 50 feet, tagging a van, street signs, curbs or anything like that.

i did kinda like the skating. seemed a bit more free riding then super technical. which i thought was enjoyable. not saying it wasnt hard.
