the foam in helmets compresses upon impact. that is how they work, so if he hit his head and compressed the foam.. it wont work properly.

Dont buy used helmets becaue those giros are only designed to take one fall. So if you fall and get a concussion in the helmet its a good idea to get a new one...and alot of times the helmet still looks exactly the same and you cant tell. Thats why you shouldnt buy used h elmets
