The thing is, how can that secondary match up against the TEs and Welker? Cruz, Manningham, and Nicks are all great proto-typical receivers. Fast, tall, agile, etc. However, compare that to the WR/TEs on NE, you see something that is new to the league. Fast, strong, agile, and EXTREMELY large TEs that are impossible to cover. If the Giants cant stop by the TEs and Welker, it will be VERY difficult for them to win. This game is going to be decided by who makes fewer mistakes.

not necessarily, if the giants pass rush is spot on it will take pressure off the db's thats the way to counter it, make brady have to go to his first decision by not giving him time to look for a second throwing option

pats passing game is build on short passes. so if the receivers can win on their first steps, the pats will be fine.

and dont forget the solid run game the pats showed against one of the better run defense teams in the league.

and the best thing about the ravens game was the fact that they won despite their (normally) strength not playing like one and pulling a team win out. 49ers did it against the saints when their defense faltered two times in the last minutes. the packers couldnt overcome the no-show of their offense.

thats what the playoffs are about. find ways to win the fucking game when the opponent (normally a pretty good team) eliminates your strengths.

i work at a physical therapist and a chiropractor office, and during the lockout over the summer victor cruz came in for some PT, and im the only aid that works there, so i got to know him a bit, super cool guy. And he just came in yesterday after their win over the niners to get adjusted, he said it was fucking nuts in the locker room after the game and cannot wait to be in his first superbowl experience, i pysched for him, he grew up in a town over from me (reallly really shitty area) lost his dad at a young age, and failed outta UMass twice, worked his ass off to make the giants roster, and now look at him, awesome guy and just had a kid. GMENN!!

Haha I love how there's people in here that think that giants stand a chance. Patriots will give Brady all day in the pocket if he wants it, and that's never good for the opposing team

hmm you may need to to research this, but I believe Brady was sacked 5 times by the Giants in the 2007 superbowl...and I don't think any team has sacked him that much in a single game since.

He will not have all day, its the best pass rush in the league man.

that's because they recognized a weakness and have since found ways to make sure it doesn't happen again..at least that much.

i don't think the gaints are ready for the Pats this time around but we'll see

yeah it's not like there is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time playing. or one of the most productive 3-some of wide receivers in league history. or the most productive tight end in a single season in history of the league. or one of the greatest coaches of all time. or a rematch of one of the best superbowls ever.

definitely nothing super about it though.

go gmen.

Im with you on the last part. Both teams are obviously good and there's a sort of rivalry so it should be good. My only problem is I cant figure out who to root for and I hate watching games without rooting for someone. I usually go with the underdog, but I cant figure out who that is in this scenario.

i didnt give a rats ass about steelers/packers or saints/colts the last few years. but its the biggest stage, and even though this game starts at 0:30 a.m. "my" time, i will be watching it no matter who is in.

def gonna be a good game. lots of mini-matchups that could decide the game.

if the nfl is scripted, look out for an edelman interception and ochocinco catching the gamewinning touchdown while nailing the ball against his helmet as time expires.

the pats d is horrible its true.....but the giants no longer posses plaxico burress so he will not be able to catch a ball with his head giving the giants the field position the need thus brady, gronk, welker, hernandaz and branch are going to rip the giants appart while vince wilfork holds the d together against eli....that being said......

LETS GO PATS!!!111!!!on3!!!

im taking the pats by 3 and the under at 54 right now. gronk nation about to show eli why he isnt an elite quarterback, although I give him and the giants more credit than most, especially coming from a pats fan

question for you.

giants fans need not respond.

If the pats win, does anyone know the day of the parade? I just found out I have Tuesday classes cancelled, and feel like the parades are always like two days after. so if they win, and its on tuesday, that would be doubley awesome.

Can not wait, doesn't matter to me who wins (it's already a win for me since the Packers aren't in it) so I'm just going to enjoy it and cheer for both teams.

Im kinda tired of hearing about Myra Kraft, Im sure she was a great lady but an owner's wife dying 6 months ago isn't really a football story

anyway

NE wins the coin toss

1st turnover is a fumble

NYG gets first penalty

NYG call first timeout

1st play is a rush

1st offensive touchdown is a pass

1st replay challenge will be overturned

There will not be a 2 point conversion

The team that scores last will win the game

There will be a fieldgoal in the 1st quarter

NYG +3
