I have heard rumors it may open on the 7th, can anyone confirm this for me?also what is/will be set up at COP and louise next weekend?
I was going to go surfing but if the hills are looking good here I want to come ski.

I think it opening on the 7th would be pretty crazy man. I remember a couple years ago they had a big early snow year, and they waited til remembrance day still but just opened more of the mountain. And last year they opened with pretty much nothing a week late, so it's pretty unpredictable. No matter what I doubt it's gonna be looking to great, it's always gonna be typical early season conditions in november. But if they open on the 11th, i'll be there and I'll have my stoke pants on.

when I thought of plane I thought of like a field, for whatever reason. but no I would drive to go surfing, since I live in BC

The lakes supposed to open on the 6th, but the the earliest i have heard for sunshine (from a patrollers kid) was possible the tenth (but i would put money on the 11th) . Nakiska is opening the 7th which is whack.

No one really knows whats going on. I start work at the Shine on the 7th. I work park there. It rained in the valley a few days ago, and the weather is off and on. So in other words, unless you hear something official from anybody it is all up in the air.

this. they released a statement they would open the 11th buts that is long time from now and the weather could do anything. lake is still open this weekend though.

on their site it says they are open for sure now. i didnt know wednesday was remembrance day. probably gonna be packed.

Yeah, a little update for all you young folks out there. We are open tomorrow for sure. Temp park will have two different lines. Left line will have the rainbow box, 20 foot flat box, and 16 foot metal mail box.
Left line will have a ball bonk/small jump, then flat-down-flat box, and 25 foot metal mail box set up urban style.
Plus bring your fat skis out because its been puking at the shine for a the past 3 days.

Great coverage for early November. Lots of face shots in the morning, in the afternoon rocks started to show up. Headwall needs a bit more snow, kinda hairy. Cliffs off to the left of wawa are sweet, good snow. Little park setup which was sweet but only rode it once...

I didnt get there until 10. And it was my friends first time out in a couple years so i didnt get much pow :(

But ya great coverage

Best part of the day for me was this dude riding down Wawa on blades. He was following someone's tracks, Then he went into the pow not knowing how deep it was. ATE SHIT HARD, like full on rag doll.

couldn't have been a better opener. face shots for the whole morning was by far some of the best skiing ive had at sunshine period. stoked for tomorrow when the crowds wont be there.

Ah that was you that made the jump? It was just off standish right, step downish with some cliffs on the same face a little ways down?
