no way dude some guys I know in Banff have been invited up to skia few times and they said it was dope. Lots of snow already and really good shit.

Really? Looking at the skicams it looks pretty bare, way less snow than this time last year, and I got this off of sunshines site and it doesnt look like we have gotten that much snow yet:
OPENING UPDATE (as of October 30, 2002)
Sunshine Village is still hoping to open on Nov. 8th, but it is starting to look like the opening date might be pushed
back to Nov. 15th. We currently have about 15 cms of settled snow in the Village area but will require at least another
40 cms of fresh snow to open. Unfortunately, the weather forecast is calling for mainly sunny conditions for the next
few days. Sunshine Village is ready open just as soon as Mother Nature allows us to do so. Stay tuned for updates and
PRAY for SNOW!

GOOD NEWS! I have heard that the lake and cop will be opening this weekend! If what i heard was true (and i am sure it is unless the resorts have changed their minds)Youll be able to ski wiwaxy that is right WIWAXY on Nov. 2nd! The WIWAXY 500 is set to take place to so wax up your rock skis. that is all

Damn, 55cm of snow and an opening?! Here they wait until it's about 20 feet of snow before they open. But I think they should just open the main runs (no moguls) because 20 feet of snow is well over enough.
