Sunshine opening pushed back

Got a call from sunshine today because there are 4 passholders in my house, they are pushing opening day back to the 11th. I am depressed. I had a 4 day weekend, and now all I have to do is jerk off.

there's still time to get a girlfriend before then, you might not have to jack off after all!

Shit cock, looks like my one escape from school this semester is going to have to be canceled. Did they say the push back could be changed at all if they get more snow?

PLEASEEEE SNOWWW>>!!!!! if it gets pushed back, put it to the 14th so i can have a full weekend. Why the 11th its a tuesday turn out may be a little better if held on a friday

11th opening would be sick, reading break at u of c from the 7th to 11th so i can rip some pow at an empty hill!!!!!!! yey!

man i was stoked on not having to share the mountain with a bunch of highschool kids.oh well at least more of my frinds can probably go

were they planning on opening on the 7th before?

I'm surprised, usually they wait until about 3 days before the opening to push it back.

It's dumping right now according to the webcams. Whatever that's worth. Looks like its all gonna melt next week anyway.

apparently the opening isn't actually being pushed back due to lack of snow (although I'm sure it's still a factor), but because of the hotel renovation. they ripped out a whole wing and didn't have time to rebuild it. so now they are scrambling to put up fake walls to hide the giant hole where it used to be. seems they are scared of people falling into this hole.

Louise is still saying the Wiwaxy 500 will be opening on November 8th. so even if Sunshine isn't open at least Louise might be for the long weekend!

i looked at the weather report fro both sunshine and lake louise and its looking like lake louise is gonna get a lot more snow in the following week, plus they have snow makers. and is it true that sunshine doesnt make their own snow?

They harvest snow up at goats eye. Louise only makes snow on like the main green runs near the bottom. And sunshine is also higher up.

Anyways...anyone know how much lift tickets will be for the first while?

Had a meeting with SSV on Friday and it looks like the 11th might even be a pipe dream unfortunately. Really they need over a foot more snow and the weather doesn't look like it is going to co-operate. Good news is there is a chance that the Boarder Cross is going to be nixed and they are very seriously looking into moving the jump line or even having two separate parks. This is all dependent on Mountain Managers decisions in association with parks Canada and the environmentalist tree hugging hippie bullshit hoops that SSV continually has to jump through even after the implementation of so many proactive solutions to the environmental impacts of the resort.

Tons of snow in the forecast... dont worry!

Isnt it funny how the people with no money, who have their salaries paid by the people who want the right solutions, are the ones stopping their meal ticket from having fun?

Almost ironic.
