Sunglasses?

I'm looking to get some sunglasses for the beach and just chilling around, but I don't know what to get. My budget is up to about $130, but preferably lower. I was thinking about just getting custom Knockarounds because I like the colors, but I think I want better quality lenses than theirs(I've heard theyre not the greatest, and in a 14 dollar pair of sunglasses i wouldn't expect that much.) So preferably something around 80 or below, but if the sunglasses are like the greatest ever, I could go up to 130ish. Through suggestions at me, I'm coming up completely blank! k+ for help!

Do you know any styles/fits that you know you like?

Personally whenever I get sunglasses I like to go to a few stores that carry different brands and try on a bunch of pairs so I know exactly what I am getting.

Besides that I am a fan of a lot of smith sunglasses as well as most oakleys.

I like wayfarer style and a lot of what oakley makes, not huge into aviators but they're ok. I'm gonna hit up a store by my shore house this upcoming weekend and see what they have, but I'd like to have an idea of what I'm going into. Obviously with wayfarers, I immediately thought Ray-Bans, but they're a bit more than I'd like to pay for even the most bland styles. +K

just thought id let u know, i bought 4 pairs of knockarounds and customized them myself. i bought green navy black and white and mixed em up. if ur interested pm me and ill get u pics

Well, knockarounds are pretty good for the price. I just came back from Cancun and my prmium done the job pretty well. For the price its pretty good. They are no like my oakley but they was fine.

I have a pair of oakley holbrooks and love them cuz my face is a little big for traditional wayfarers, also Smith Chemist is pretty sick, but also a little small for me

Brands to look out for:

Ray-Ban

A tad bit more expensive, but very high quality:

Persol

Olivers People

Serengeti

May I suggest Shwood.

The dudes that run this place are way good guys, support some locals.

Thanks for all the advice guys! Right now I'm thinking knockarounds unless I feel like i wanna go higher. I'll post back when I buy! k+ to all.

Can you guys give some more details about these? They look pretty sick and I like what they're saying on the website, but how do they fit/feel? Definitely curious about the wooden frames cause I'm feeling more on the positive side about them, but some insight would be great! Also, do they really take 4-6 weeks to ship?

Thanks!

They are getting so many orders that they're maxed on production, it does take some time unless you find a local retailer. They fit pretty well honestly, they have good spring hinges and are well finished.

My GF got me a pair of Flora fade frogskins for my birthday, i can already tell that these, together with my all black aviators will be my favourite sunglasses ! :)super light and awesome colors! :)

I saw those on oakleys website, theyre so sick, but everywhere's sold out and theyre liek $220 on ebay.

dont get frogskins way to many people have them. the holbrooks are becomming the same but they arent to bad yet. i recomend the fuel cell, bat wolf, or the oil rig.

Actually....
Ray Ban and Oakley are both owned by the same company, Luxottica. So, both are owned by an italian company. Oakley actually owns amazing patents though and have some of the best lenses in the market (the only one I find better is by kaenon). Even the military use oakley because of their lens quality and saftey tests. Ray Ban on the other hand goes towards a more fashionable client on the same ranks as Maui Jim. Both have nearly identical frame shapes, it really comes down to marketing and clientele.
Get learned.

Yeah my golf team was sponsored by Oakley, so we got to cruise around with the Rolling O Lab for a while. The demonstrations they use prove that their goggles and sunglasses don't shatter and are well, pretty much bulletproof. The lens will never shatter in your eyes, and it will be even harder to break it.

proof is sick, but seems to be out of your price range i think, but i have knockarounds, premiums and i have had them for a year, they hold up perfect, i have had no lens issues, and they have been dropped countless times! and if there too cheap just get fort knocks

I Rock the Shaun White Holbrook, 24K lens, really nice shade! also, for a cheap pair of wayfarer, check out Electric Detroit, they got a shit load of colours, retail for like 60 bucks maax!

i had some oakley holbrooks, but i just broke them on the fourth of july. i really like them, but now everyone has them so i'm looking into getting some electric knoxvilles

fuck, didn't work.
